New from Charlotte Tilbury: Airbrush Flawless now also in matte

Of course, we already had the primer-and-foundation combo from Huda Beauty that came with a matte finish and turned out to be surprisingly beautiful. Still, I had to get used to such a completely matte face. I kept feeling the urge to add some glow with the highlighter from RMS or the Glowy Super Gel Primer from Saie. But it’s, just like with the glow trend back then (remember that transition from completely matte to all glow?), mainly a matter of getting used to it.
And Now Charlotte Tilbury is launching her mega-popular Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray in a matte variant (!). Does this mean that all my glowy products will have to make way for a new finish? Not entirely. The fact that Charlotte is launching this collection is partly to respond to the matte comeback, but also to give everyone who does prefer a more matte look or has a skin type that shines more quickly, a perfect option.
Airbrush Flawless Foundation matte
According to Charlotte, this foundation stays perfect for up to, 24 hours, whether it’s scorching hot outside, you’re dancing in a club, or just working behind your laptop. Shining or creasing should be impossible. And that last part is quite important because with my dry skin, a matte foundation can often settle into fine lines.
The formula is, as we are used to from Charlotte, packed with skin-loving ingredients. Think of hyaluronic acid for hydration, and PhytoYouth Essence, which helps keep the skin supple. As a result, the foundation feels anything but dry, but rather light and comfortable, as she calls it: ‘light-as-air’ coverage.
Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray matte
Charlotte's setting spray has been one of my favorites for years. I always have a full size in my cabinet and a mini in my bag for on the go. It’s that soft mist that makes your makeup one whole and ensures that everything just stays better in place. And now there’s a matte version. Even if you wear glowy makeup, this spray takes away that excess shine. Thanks to the Pore-Blurring Technology (also known as PoreAway), the skin looks visibly smoother and more even. Moreover, your look stays put for up to 16 hours.
And even though most of us don’t wear makeup for 24 hours, it guarantees that it stays in place for at least the hours you do wear it. And if you think your makeup won’t last until the end of the day, it’s often not the spray’s fault. It’s usually because you (unconsciously) touch your face a lot. So: hands off your face, and you’ll see that your makeup looks literally flawless.
