You must also see this movie with Harris Dickinson
You know, with Samual from Baby Girl

Since seeing Baby Girl, I've become quite obsessed with Harris Dickinson. You too? So I dove into his filmography and what turned out, I had missed this brilliant film: Triangle of Sadness.
In this satirical film, in which model Harris (then 25 years old) plays another brilliant role, the dynamics of power and class differences are revealed in a genius and mega uncomfortable way.
Seed planted?
Could this have planted the seed with Halina Reijn to cast him as Samuel in Baby Girl?
Triangle of Sadness, divided into three chapters, hilariously exposes the hypocrisy and superficiality of the wealthy elite. When a group of affluent passengers finds themselves in extreme situations due to a storm at sea, everything escalates—with a highlight being an over-the-top chaotic dinner scene on a luxury cruise. The scenes are so bizarrely absurd that they feel surreal.
Sharp and uncomfortable
The film showcases the superficiality of the fashion world and how money and beauty influence social structures. The result is sharp, comedic, and mega uncomfortable. In addition to Harris, Woody Harrelson also plays a brilliant role, along with the stunning South African Charlbi Dean in this film. By the way, director Ruben Östlund rightly won the prestigious Palme d’Or in 2022.
