The most fun, free gifts for Mother’s Day
Sunday is the day; Mother's Day. And I always act tough as if I don't care, but in the meantime, I just want the whole package. Breakfast in bed, a handmade tea box or a clay dish where I can put my jewelry, and if we're having such a nice time, my beloved can also come with a gift. Last year I got a delicious room spray from Diptyque and the year before that he – completely on his own, it must be said – ordered Tod's shoes for me.

On each page something you could do for your mother. I'll name a few: emptying the dishwasher. And loading the dishwasher. Walking the dog, massaging her back, tidying up the utility room, those kinds of things. Make your mother very, very happy with those. Especially with points 1 and 2.

Make the bathroom cozy for your mother, put down candles, dim the lights, roll towels up nicely, lay out her favorite lounge outfit, and place her favorite tea and book on the edge of the bathtub.
A small gesture, big effect: pump those bike tires up
You probably also borrow your mother's bike sometimes and then return it with a flat battery and soft tires. Pump them up nicely, fill the battery, and who knows, maybe even wipe the saddle and leave a sweet note in her basket. Really; you're going to score points.
