Hard truths that you (unfortunately) discover as you grow up

What hard lessons have you learned? By now, the chain is pretty much over and I am reasonably grown up, with a husband, three children, and an organized life. However, getting older doesn't always go smoothly and nicely. Sometimes it's tough and painful. You learn along the way about life.
Especially: that's how things go. It belongs to all of us, you are not the only one. But what are the hard lessons you learn as an adult? Well, I'll start with this.
1. Most friendships are temporary
2. Money makes things easy
3. But happiness is not in money
4. Your parents will not always be alive
5. Maintaining friendships takes a lot of effort
6. No one will come to rescue you
7. Nothing stays the same
8. Your children grow up
9. Your body changes
10. As a child, you laugh the most, then only less
11. People almost never listen to what you tell
12. That it gets dark earlier instead of lighter after June 21
13. You start with a diaper and end with a diaper
Sorry for this sad and somewhat depressing list. We certainly don't want to ruin your day, but yes, sometimes we also have to be honest and serious, because life is not always a bed of roses. It is up to you to keep picking the flowers, even if they are at the edge of the abyss.
