New on Netflix in June

If there is anything that makes me happy, it is summer. And it just so happens that it is finally starting this month; now we just have to hope that the weather will cooperate. In any case, we have one advantage this month: Netflix is adding quite a few new gems. I will go through the most fun movies and series with you that will make counting down to that first summer day a lot easier.
Ginny & Georgia season 3 (June 5 on Netflix)
We had to wait two years, but now it is finally here: the third season of ‘Ginny & Georgia’. After Georgia was arrested at her own wedding, she now faces a life sentence. Meanwhile, Ginny is the center of attention at school, but not for a reason she would want. She tries to support her mother, but she is not sure if that is really a smart move. Are all the secrets really coming to light? Starting June 5, we will hopefully get answers to all our burning questions.

Mission Impossible films (June 2 on Netflix)
Now that Tom Cruise is back in theaters with his latest film ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ and we wonder if this will be the last time we can admire him as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, Netflix is taking us on a trip down memory lane. This month, parts four, five, and six of the series are being added. A perfect preparation for those who have already secured their movie ticket. And, to be fair, Tom Cruise doing his own stunts is always impressive.
Too Hot to Handle Spain season 1 (June 13 on Netflix)
If the summer weather is still taking its time, Netflix will at least make sure we will feel the heat. After England, Italy, Brazil, and Mexico, it is now the turn of the Spanish singles to try to resist all temptations. With a prize pool of one hundred thousand euros, a lot is at stake; but under the tropical sun and with so many attractive, and especially single, people around, not everyone will be able to hold back.
Titan: The OceanGate Disaster (June 11 on Netflix)
It is June 18, 2023, when a submarine from the American company OceanGate begins a journey with five passengers that was supposed to be one of the most extraordinary trips ever; a trip to the wreck of the Titanic. But the journey turned into a nightmare when the submarine disappeared from radar. Four days later, debris was found, and it became clear that all passengers had not survived the trip. Now, two years later, Netflix is coming out with a documentary that will mainly focus on the lead-up to the trip and on the drive of OceanGate's CEO Stockton Rush to continue the journey at all costs. A big question is central: could this have been prevented?

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 (June 18 on Netflix)
You could call this a guilty pleasure, but we really don’t have to be ashamed to say that this series is just delightful. ‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ is getting a second season this month, and it will definitely be enjoyable again. This time we will not only see those mega-heavy auditions, but also how the girls experience the NFL season 24/25. If we know anything from season one, it is that being a cheerleader at this level is really not just about dancing; there is plenty of drama waiting for us again.
Mean Girls 2024 (June 25 on Netflix)
A case of love it or hate it, but in 2024, after twenty years, a new version of what we can now call a classic came out: ‘Mean Girls’. With the story largely as we know it and a familiar face here and there, but this time there was also a musical addition. It certainly wasn’t due to the voice of the new head mean girl Regina, who was played by Reneé Rapp. Many iconic quotes return, so as Regina would say, ‘get in losers’.
Squid Game season 3 (June 27 on Netflix)
June is really the month where our patience is rewarded. In addition to ‘Ginny & Georgia’, the third season of ‘Squid Game’; will also be released; the very last games will be played. After his failed uprising, Gi-hun is now really at a low point. But there is no time for rest or mourning. The game continues, and the pressure is significantly increased. Will Gi-hun finally be able to put an end to the system, or is it really game over now? It certainly won’t be an easy fight.

The list of Netflix is fortunately still a bit longer than this, these titles are also being released this month:
