All about Taylor Swift's five-star wedding venue

Yes, it’s happening: the royal wedding of America is coming up. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting married next year, and trust me: this wedding is going to be grand. Did you think they would go for a cliché spot like Lake Como or a French castle? Think again. This girl is getting married in a place that is 100% on brand: Rhode Island. Yep, really. And she wants to get married here so badly that she apparently bought off another couple to be able to marry on a specific date. What does this location have that makes Taylor absolutely have to say ‘I do’ here? And how much does it cost to get married here? Read on quickly, because this is everything we know so far about Taylor’s five-star wedding venue.
Why does she specifically want to marry on the 13th?
start to get a little hungry Page Six believe it or not, Taylor and Travis have set their sights on June 13, 2026. This may seem like a random date, but believe me: it’s not. Taylor wanted to get married on this date so badly that she apparently bought off another couple to secure this day. Why does she specifically want to marry on this date? I can tell you that. The number has a special meaning: it’s her favorite lucky number. Why? There are a few reasons behind it. She was born on the 13th, she turned 13 on Friday the 13th, her first album went gold in the 13th week after its release, her first hit single had an intro of 13 seconds, and every time she won an award early in her career, she was sitting in the 13th row. So according to the universe, this was just her magical number – and she made sure everyone knew it.
But why does she specifically want to marry in June? Couldn’t she just do it a month later? Nope. June 13 is exactly six months after her birthday on December 13. Additionally, it’s also the only 13th that year that falls on a Saturday. Well, it’s just how Taylor loves to coordinate everything down to the last detail. So it doesn’t surprise me that she wants this date. But that she would buy off a couple for it… that’s something else. A source who knows the couple confirms this: “A friend of a friend was going to get married at the same location and date. The estate called her and said that someone was willing to buy them off for the date. She didn’t want that until she heard that the couple was willing to pay for the entire wedding and honeymoon for them. So then she said yes.” Wow. So Taylor and Travis have (apparently) paid for everything for those people. That’s really insane. But let’s be honest: if Taylor Swift pays for your entire wedding and honeymoon, we’d even get married on a Monday in February next to a sad remnant of a Christmas tree in the parking lot of the local IKEA.
And why in Rhode Island?
Rhode Island is one of Taylor’s favorite places. Her house here, ‘The Holiday House’, has been the stage for her famous Fourth of July parties. Since 2013, she has been parading around here. She loves this state so much that she even wrote a song about it. In ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’, she wrote about the former residents of her house: party girl Rebekah Harkness and oil magnate William Hale Harkness.
@erinharperr holiday house sat quietly on that beach 😌
So it’s not such a strange idea that she specifically wanted to get married in this state. This has been her base for over ten years. That makes sense, right?
This is the five-star estate where Taylor is going to marry
Where in Rhode Island is she going to marry? At the Ocean House. And this is no ‘little house’, no way. With a Forbes five-star rating, this butter-yellow house is a highly sought-after wedding venue. It’s located in New England, which is already a popular destination. This region with cities like New Hampshire, Vermont, and thus Rhode Island is a draw. This is the place for small-town vibes. Think picturesque buildings with red bricks and streets with white houses that look like they just came out of a Gilmore Girls episode. Taylor loves that cozy autumn vibe, and this estate fits perfectly into that picture. And… it’s super practical because this hotel is close to her house. From the hotel, you literally look out at her house. So she really doesn’t have to travel in disguise in a tinted car for ten hours to get to this venue. Here she is.

The Victorian-style hotel looks like a real coastal-chic getaway with those natural materials, cute cushions, and pastel colors. The outside is already beautiful in itself, but the inside is definitely worth it too. I can see myself staying here. But now I can already hear what you’re thinking: ‘what amazing things are in this hotel that make Taylor buy off a couple for it?’

Well… to start with: 46 guest rooms and 23 exclusive suites. Whether you want to breathe in the fresh air by the seaside or see the architecture of New England: everything is possible here. You have seven different types of guest rooms: deluxe guest rooms, deluxe rooms with an ocean view, rooms with a terrace and water view, Club King guest rooms, a deluxe studio, grand deluxe guest rooms that are so big they could be an apartment, and the more standard rooms with a terrace and city view.

Then you also have the special suites with sea views (aka penthouses that are so beautiful you’d want to move there) and large New England cottages where you literally sit in your own little house. These are legit houses where you could live based on how amazing they are. The Winnapaug Watch even looks a bit like Taylor’s own estate.

So, what exactly is included with that hotel? You get valet parking, assistance with all your luggage, an escort, breakfast and afternoon coffee with homemade pastries, a tablet with various newspapers and magazines, the option to dine at five restaurants, and access to activities like guided yoga, cooking classes, beach facilities on their private beach, squash, tennis, virtual golf lessons, art tours, daily movie nights, and much more.
As I mentioned: you have plenty of options for dining. There's a classic American bistro COAST, a fine dining restaurant Verandah Raw Bar, a seafood restaurant, a beach restaurant Théa at Dune Cottage, and a tapas restaurant Dalia. So something like starving doesn't exist at Taylor's wedding.

Curious? This is what a wedding at Ocean House looks like
Taylor may be an original songwriter, but she's not really original in her wedding plans. Because yes, as I said: The Ocean House is the most popular wedding destination in Rhode Island. Many people get married here, and it can be as crazy as you want it to be. This is what Taylor's wedding could look like:

What does a Swift wedding cost? Keep your bank app closed, because spoiler: you need to donate at least one kidney
Your wedding is of course priceless, but this place? It comes with a price tag. You don't just get married here. How do we know this? From TulleTogether. This wedding website collects and searches real invoices to find out how much weddings actually cost. This is how much a wedding weekend with 200 guests (which Taylor will definitely have) costs in 2027:
It costs €79,805.38 just to rent the venue for an entire weekend. And then you only have the rooms for you and your guests. To rent the locations where you want to celebrate your wedding, like the ceremony site and your dinner, you pay €87,525.18. And that food and drink? You have to pay for that separately. That's €484.82 per person, so if you have 200 guests, you’ll need to lay down €96,996.43 for that. And yes… this is America, so there’s tax on top of that, which means you end up paying €129,567.12. That means Taylor is paying almost €300,000 for The Ocean House. And she does this twice, since she has also paid for that other couple. Oh and yes: external costs like flowers, decor, a photographer, clothing, live music, and other things are not included here. So that amount will increase.
So yes: we are sure that Taylor Swift will have a grand wedding here in Rhode Island. It’s still a while away, but we’ll keep an eye on all the details for you. Although this is probably just (or who am I kidding: a lot) outside your budget, you can still dream a little. Go ahead and manifest it, who knows what comes your way. Right?
