Parking costs at airports are a huge expense for travelers. Anyone who has ever parked at the airport has probably been shocked by the costs. It seems like all airports are equally expensive, but that's not the case. Which one takes the crown?

No surprise: Schiphol is the most expensive

It's no surprise with the allure of the country's largest airport, but parking at Schiphol is the most expensive. You pay almost 100 euros for a weekend of parking at the airport. For eight days, you pay about 132 euros. Schiphol may be the most expensive in our country, but in Europe, it only has to yield to Zaventem Brussels Airport.

If you want to save money, it's a good idea to look for a spot outside the airport for your car. There are several reliable parking providers in the area where you can park for a fraction of the price. You will be a bit further from the terminal, which means you have to travel a bit by bus. If that's worth it to you, you can save quite a bit on the price of parking tickets.

Eindhoven Airport

Eindhoven is a somewhat smaller airport, but parking here is also quite expensive. For a week of parking, you pay 121 euros. Parking Eindhoven Airport is therefore better avoided. It also applies here that you can better park outside the airport's parking garages.

In the area, you will find various parking providers. If you really want to pay the lowest price, it's a good idea to compare them through a comparison site. If there's still some money left, you can also opt for valet parking, for example. Your car will be ready for you when you return to the airport. It costs a bit more, but is still quite manageable compared to parking at the airport itself.

Rotterdam is actually getting cheaper

Rotterdam was previously known for high parking costs, but the airport now wants to shake off that image. That's why Rotterdam The Hague Airport has made it cheaper to park your car. Prices there have now dropped by almost 20 percent. In this way, Rotterdam also wants to promote itself as a cheaper competitor to Schiphol.

If you want to save extra money at Rotterdam The Hague Airport, it's best to book in advance. The earlier you book, the more discount you get on your parking spot. This way, parking managers know earlier how many spots they can still rent out, which brings them a lot of money. A small discount can then be applied.
