This is Charles Leclerc's girlfriend (and they are getting married!!)

Even though there was no Formula 1 this weekend, Charles Leclerc is still a headliner today. He proposed to his girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mieux.

Who? What? Where and why?

Well, the why question is pretty easy to answer. The two are madly in love with each other and have been playing house since 2023. We don't actually know how they met, but we do know that they were suddenly together at Wimbledon and have been a serious couple ever since. Their little dog Leo is really their baby who, if possible, goes everywhere with them.

The proposal, tell me!

Well, Charles also went old school there, because on Instagram we see all the details of the proposal. There was their little dog Leo, the Australian shepherd who also has a new love in his life. On Leo's collar hung a tag with the text: Dad wants to marry you! Which is already quite cute. But that was certainly not enough for Charles, because there were roses, cookies in the shape of their initials A and C, and smaller heart-shaped cookies that said: we’re getting married. And then there was a heart of, I guess, about two by two meters, with so many candles that it, excusez, also somewhat resembles a farewell ceremony. But that might also have to do with my aversion to an excess of planned romance. Alexandra loves roses, you can see that when you look at her Instafeed; there is always a flower to be found in the photo or in her outfit. So for her, this was definitely a, forgive me the pun, shot in the rose. Alexandra thought it was all great and immediately said yes, because our Alexandra is partly Mexican, Italian, and French.

Who is this Alexandra Saint Mieux?

Not much is known about her. She is a model and influencer, born in Mexico, has Italian and French blood, and has her heart in the right place, as she is the founder of Corazonestudios, which helps Mexican children from disadvantaged areas develop creatively.
Furthermore, a fun detail: she has 3 million followers (well, detail, detail you would have to shake hands with them all, my mother would say) and she and Romée Strijd follow each other, from which I can reasonably conclude that they know each other. If I let my imagination run a bit more wild, I even think they might be friends.

In any case, we will undoubtedly hear a lot more from Alexandra, Charles, and of course little Leo.
