With the 1% rule, you finally start your own business successfully

By

Will this year finally end with a bang? Do you finally want to focus on your own business? Every year we postpone everything. All those big dreams, oh, they'll come later. But now a new year has begun again. Time for a change. With the 1% rule, you'll be much further along with your own business by the end of 2025 than you ever dared to hope.

And it's very simple.

The 1% rule revolves around the principle of small, consistent improvements. Instead of trying to do everything at once, focus on daily improving one aspect of your business with just 1%. This may seem small, but over time this growth adds up and leads to significant progress. You must always keep the big picture in mind. Suppose you want to have a hundred thousand followers on Instagram or TikTok. But you don't know where to start. You can worry and be upset that you're not already well-known on social media, or you can just start very small. Make your first feed preview. Post your first long story with a slideshow of photos. Create your first Reel. Every day you do something small, and added up, you'll be much further along than you think. But you have to keep it up consistently.

Successful people didn't build something huge in one day. That's not how wealth and success work. Cristiano Ronaldo trains every day, seven days a week, his whole life – on his fitness and football talent. On day one, he was nowhere near as good as he is today.

Why does this 1% rule work so well?

The idea of just 1% improvement makes it easier to get started. Small steps are less intimidating and lower the threshold to begin. Every small success gives you a boost. By improving something daily, you build confidence in your ability to achieve your goals. Sounds easy, right? It is. Do something every day. Mindset.

The key to success is: not stopping. Every single day you work on a small improvement in your business. This can be anything: optimizing your website, approaching a new client, or making a process more efficient. The power of the 1% rule lies in consistency. Small daily improvements may not seem that exciting because you don't immediately see ten thousand euros extra in your account, but they add up exponentially. And that is your strength this year. Don't focus on those daily big prizes and rewards – feel that you are working on something bigger. Think ahead. Think bigger. And yes, you will eventually be rewarded for all of that. Trust in the process. Go for it this year. I'm already starting with writing the first page of a next book. Dreams don't come true quickly – dreams take time, effort, energy, and passion. And when you finally succeed, it feels fan-tas-tic.
