50+ model walks Yves Saint Laurent show
– and she is Dutch

On Monday we already celebrated a Dutch party in Paris, where a model from Micha Models opened the Louis Vuitton show, last night her winning streak continued. It started with the Chanel show at the Grand Palais, where another new model, Dana, conquered the catwalk – and of course Felice Nova, who is practically part of the furniture of every designer – but the real sensation was on Tuesday night during the Yves Saint Laurent show.
Linda Evangelista in a suit
Saint Laurent closed Paris Fashion Week with a show at the Eiffel Tower. Creative director Anthony Vaccarello presented a collection that you want to pull into your closet in one smooth motion. Pencil skirts with sculpted tops, huge clouds of skirts with low waists and a long, simple top, and sleek skirts with tough bomber jackets; everything was the perfect marriage of classic, feminine, and powerful. Vaccarello thus provides a perfect, contemporary interpretation of the heritage of Yves Saint Laurent.
How proud Yves Saint Laurent would have been to see Linda Evangelista arrive in a classic suit from his brand, showing that his idea of dressing women in a men's suit is still a masterstroke.

Celebs all over
The concentration of VIPs in Paris is intense during Fashion Week anyway. It's almost impressive not to spot a celebrity while walking through the city, but at the Yves Saint Laurent show, everyone was truly present. From big French names to American youth and everything in between. Betty Catroux, Catherine Deneuve, Carla Bruni, and Charlotte Gainsbourg were sitting next to Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, Kid Cudi, and Charli XCX.
A remarkable aspect of the show was the performance of Bella Hadid, who presented Vaccarello's powerful and structured designs.
The big surprise
But the biggest surprise was not Bella Hadid wearing Vaccarello's designs on her slender body. It was the much less known, but just as impressive Dutch Nathalie Haelermans, represented by Micha Models. Vaccarello chose to let her open the show – an honorary position – to emphasize that taste, style, and class have no expiration date. Age is just a number, so they say.

In the end, there was only one number 1 this Paris Fashion Week, and that was for me Micha Models, who always manages and dares to scout and prepare just slightly different models for the big work.
