This pumpkin pan from Action looks just like the one from Le Creuset
I don't know about you, but I'm already deep into autumn. Everywhere I see decor videos in which the Praktische Magie-tune plays loudly in the background and recipes for the tastiest autumn dishes. Specifically soup recipes. I'm really being ‘bombarded’ with those. And what is always in these videos? That big, orange pumpkin pot from Le Creuset. Oh, what I would do for that cast iron pot… But okay. € 349 is quite expensive for a pot. Fortunately, Action has found a solution: this autumn they are launching almost the same pot.
The pumpkin pot from Action is cast iron on a budget
I don't find it strange that you pay top dollar for cast iron. A large roasting pan is not cheap in itself, but mainly the material makes this pot so beloved and expensive. Cast iron is resistant to high temperatures and scratch-resistant. So it's a pot that will last almost your entire life, because it is nearly indestructible. Look, I'm not saying you should throw this pot on the ground to test that. But to really let this pot burn that badly, you must be very clumsy. So the pot is durable and also free from harmful substances, because there is no crazy PFAS layer in it.

Does the Action pumpkin pot really look like the Le Creuset pumpkin pot?
All those good qualities lead to a high price. And with Le Creuset, you obviously also pay for the brand. No matter how good it is, that doesn't mean you can't try a cheaper alternative. This one from Action is almost just like the OG. It's big, has an orange-red ombré effect, and, unlike the Le Creuset version, a gold-colored handle that is supposed to look like a pumpkin stem. I secretly like that even more. And just like the Le Creuset version, this one is oven and induction resistant. The only downside is that the Action variant is a bit smaller: it only holds 2.8 liters, instead of the 3.7 liters of the original.

How much does the Action pumpkin pot cost?
Instead of paying over € 300, the Action pot costs as much as two meals at McDonald's: € 24.95. That's really insane. Twenty-five euros for a cast iron pot? Yes, Action just does it. Online ordering is not possible. You really have to run to Action as soon as possible if you want to grab this viral pot, because it is only available while supplies last.
