Anna Nooshin teases her new book and breaks a major motherhood taboo

Not her first chapter
This is not the first time that Anna Nooshin she puts pen to paper. Previously, she published two books in which she shared her life and her perspective on it. Her debut ‘On Top’ from 2015 took readers from her youth – from Iran to the Netherlands – to her inspiring career steps. With the self-deprecation and down-to-earth attitude we are used to from her, of course. A year later, she expanded her list of bestsellers with a new title: ’On Life’. In this book, she conversed with important people in her life about everything that matters: fashion, beauty, travel, friendship, self-confidence, and love. Both books were published through a publisher, but this time she chooses a different path.
The gray area of motherhood
On TikTok, Anna shared that she has created a social media plan for the first time. According to her, this was necessary now that she is publishing a book without a publisher by her side. By posting about the process three times a week, she wants to carefully build her story. “Otherwise, it’s so random: hi, I wrote a book. Here you go!” What we know so far is that the book will not be about the rosy glow and moonlight that many people experience after the birth of their baby, but also nothing in the vein of postpartum depression. The book is about the gray area somewhere in between. She wants to talk about this because she herself was not on that pink cloud after her daughter was born. This way, women who share this feeling do not have to feel alone in this. Additionally, she writes about the guilt when you work, the longing when you travel, and the constant search for balance. She shared that she finds it difficult to miss her daughter when her work takes her abroad. At the same time, she tries to make conscious choices: shorter trips and more time at home.
For now, we can only speculate about what Anna Nooshin’s new book will bring us. But if she follows her previous titles, we have our suspicions about the name.
@annanooshin No postpartum depression but also not always the pink cloud that everyone talks about. A gray area that is rarely discussed. That’s what my book is about 💕 In this series, I will tell you all about it. And if you have ever felt this way: you are not alone. #behindthebook ♬ Richter: On the Nature of Daylight – Max Richter Orchestra & Lorenz Dangel
