Dua Lipa's Italian honeymoon was so amazing that you want to take that trip too
(These are all the places she went)

Some people return from their honeymoon with a tan and a roll of vacation photos. Dua Lipa? She casually gives us a complete Italy itinerary that makes you want to take vacation days spontaneously. After her sfairy-tale wedding in Palermo she and her brand new husband Callum Turner didn’t hop on a plane to a luxury resort, but the couple traveled straight through Italy. From the colorful streets of Positano to the cinematic alleys of Matera: every stop seems to come straight from Pinterest.
And honestly? We totally understand why the internet is now massively searching for ‘Dua Lipa honeymoon’. This trip is so well thought out; you want to do it too. Or at least use it as inspiration. These are all the places she and Callum went together.
Palermo: the most beautiful wedding ever
The background of the wedding. Now the couple wasn’t necessarily here on their honeymoon, but this location absolutely needs to be discussed. Dua and Callum didn’t just pick the Sicilian capital for their big day. The three-day wedding took place around the impressive Villa Valguarnera, a seventeenth-century palace in Bagheria, just outside Palermo. Think: monumental stairs, gigantic gardens, and a sea view. As if that wasn’t enough, the guests stayed at the Villa Igiea, an art nouveau hotel overlooking the Gulf of Palermo. No wonder the Italian press had been talking about ‘the wedding of the year’ for months.

Positano: where the honeymoon officially began
When you think of the Amalfi Coast, you probably think of colorful houses that seem to be glued to the cliffs, bobbing boats, and lemons as big as your head. Right there, Dua and Callum kicked off their honeymoon. The couple was spotted at the exclusive Villa TreVille Beach Club in Positano, where they mainly did what a honeymoon is meant for: sunbathing, swimming, and doing absolutely nothing.
In no time, searches for the beach club skyrocketed by thousands of percentages. Apparently, we are all in need of a little Mediterranean energy. If you could find Dua anywhere, it was in a beautiful building or on a boat. Where did she sleep, you wonder? Also at that beach club. I could drool over how beautiful it is there. Villa TreVille is not just a beach club, but also an exclusive resort that is a little secret on the Amalfi Coast. With only sixteen suites, this was the perfect off-the-grid location for her.
Rome: a coin in the Trevi Fountain and a whole lot of pasta
Of course, Rome couldn’t be missing from her Italian road trip. Dua and Callum strolled hand in hand through the city. She posed for the Pantheon as if they weren’t one of the most famous couples ever. Just imagine: seeing Dua Lipa and Callum Turner standing in front of the Colosseum… I think I would faint.
Oh, and where did they eat? At Trattoria da Danilo, of course. What she ordered there, I don’t know (because no, I’m not a fortune teller), but we can dream about it. Maybe she had the burrata with anchovies. It doesn’t get more romantic than this. Just like the hotel where she slept: Hotel Locarno is a Pinterest dream with that vintage wallpaper and white sheets. And another plus: it’s around the corner from all sorts of designer shops on Via Condotti. Strategic choice, much?

Naples: pizza, pizza, and more pizza
One of my favorite places in Italy: Naples. The couple also stopped by here. They didn’t go to complicated Michelin-starred restaurants, but to a place where you and I can also go. They dined at Pizzeria Da Concettina ai Tre Santi, a historic pizzeria in the Sanità district. It’s casual, cozy, and exactly the proof that you really don’t need to do anything fancy for a good pizza.
Since Naples is so close to Sorrento, I can’t imagine they didn’t also dip into the water here. Judging by those photos with that bright blue water, they did. She was also spotted at restaurant Il Convivio, deep in Sorrento, so we know for sure. And did you see that SSC Napoli football shirt? Dua makes every outfit cute. Did she attend a match? Mmm…
Favignana: yachts, a turquoise sea, and absolutely nothing to do
Honestly, I hadn’t heard of this place yet, but this was perhaps the most envy-inducing stop of all. On the island of Favignana, the two spent their days on a yacht. They dove into the crystal-clear water and mainly did what every honeymoon is about: disappearing from the world, enjoying good food, and enjoying each other.
Sicily is fantastic, so this island just off the west coast is truly a dream come true. Strolling through the old harbor town? I’d love to do that. All those colorful boats in the harbor immediately give you the feeling that you’re in another world.

Taormina: sleeping like in The White Lotus
I knew this stop. And you probably do too. Dua and Callum stayed at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina. Or better known as the hotel from the second season of The White Lotus. Although sleeping here for around €3300 per night is really not a good financial decision, it seems like a great experience. In the city, they walked past bougainvillea, the cutest terraces you’d ever want to sit at, and, well, just a picturesque dream. Just think of those streets with marble steps, overlooking the Etna. You’d want to fly there immediately, right? Dua would, at least.
Matera and Bernalda: vintage Porsches and a shoe discussion
After all the beaches, they traded the coast for southern Italy. In Matera, they wandered through ancient Sassi neighborhoods and checked out vintage Porsches along Corso Umberto in Bernalda. If that’s not a signal to pack your bags, I don’t know what is. Yet, during this stop online, it wasn’t about the amazing location, but about her not-so-holiday-proof shoes. A discussion arose about her thin heels, because who wears those shoes on cobblestone streets? Well: Dua Lipa, apparently. Style comes before comfort.
The best part of this stopover was perhaps the hotel where they stayed: Palazzo Margherita. Wow, this girl just keeps visiting palaces. This palace was restored by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. So it’s not surprising that this fantastic building has its own cinema, where Dua watched the Italian film Bicycle Thieves (1948). Surrounded by lush gardens, three cocktail bars, and a private beach, I’m not surprised the couple absolutely wanted to stay here.

Tropea: the finale
As far as we know, the very last stop was Tropea. This is one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Calabria. And you can see that right away. It is not for nothing that it is called the ‘pearl of the Coast of the Gods’. Just like at her other vacation spots, Dua found the good places: Villa Paolo was her home base at the end of her road trip. This villa, perched on a high cliff, is the epitome of a luxury vacation. From the walls covered in green plants to the old roofs: this screams glamour. With that view of the sea, you get the feeling that you never want to leave.
So if you are still unsure about your next vacation to Italy: Dua Lipa has actually already mapped out the route for you. The only thing you need to arrange is a suitcase, a pair of sunglasses, and someone who loves pasta as much as you do.
