All Italian hotels where Dua Lipa and Callum Turner stayed

Okay, there are honeymoon trips and then there is Dua Lipa's honeymoon. Speaking of next level. Together with Callum Turner, our favorite handsome singer did not have a classic beach holiday in St. Barth, but a rightful road trip along the most beautiful hotels in Italy. From Sicily to that lovely colorful Amalfi Coast. And then also in Lazio and Basilicata: I want to go there right away.

From a former monastery in Sicily to the most beautiful hotels on the Tuscan coast, they really stayed at the most exclusive addresses in Italy. Maybe many of the hotels are not within our budget, but perhaps trying them outside the high season? We definitely want to see them all. Especially the route and places they visited together. The photos on Instagram really provide travel inspiration, right?

Okay, this is the complete route of Dua Lipa's Italian honeymoon including all the addresses where the couple stayed.

1. San Domenico Palace, Taormina (Sicily)

Their journey began in Sicily, where they stayed at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina. This beautiful five-star hotel is globally known as the filming location for the second season of The White Lotus. It is housed in a former 14th-century monastery. And it has now become one of the most sought-after hotels in Italy. Thanks to The White Lotus..

2. Villa Paola, Tropea

From Sicily, they traveled further to Tropea, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Calabria. There they stayed at Villa Paola, a boutique hotel that is high above the sea. With serene gardens, an infinity pool, and a view over the Tyrrhenian Sea.

3. Palazzo Margherita, Bernalda

Okay, this is perhaps one of the most special addresses during their trip: the Palazzo Margherita in Basilicata. This historic palazzo is owned by film director Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather) and was completely restored by him. Dua shared photos on her Instagram where she relaxes in her room and enjoys a film screening in the courtyard in the evening. The atmosphere is elegant, intimate, and so wonderfully typically Italian.

4. La Posta Vecchia, Lazio

And on we go: about forty minutes from Rome is La Posta Vecchia (a seventeenth-century villa that was once the private residence of billionaire J. Paul Getty). Today it is an exclusive hotel by the sea and the sister hotel of Il Pellicano. You might recognize it from Emily in Paris, as the hotel was featured in the fifth season of the series.

5. Hotel Locarno, Rome

In the heart of Rome, they chose Hotel Locarno. A charming boutique hotel near Piazza del Popolo and with all sorts of nice and luxury shopping streets. The hotel is in art deco style from the twenties, with a classic interior. The rooftop must be amazing and has been a favorite among fashion insiders for years. We want to go there too.

6. Villa Treville, Positano

You can't have a real Italian road trip without the Amalfi Coast. There they stayed in Positano at Villa Treville, a very exclusive hotel with only sixteen suites and a private beach. Once this was the private estate of film director Franco Zeffirelli (1968: Romeo and Juliet). Big stars like Jennifer Lopez and Elizabeth Taylor have been coming here for years for maximum privacy.

7. Mezzatorre Hotel, Ischia

The island of Ischia was also on Dua's & Callum's itinerary. They stayed at the Mezzatorre Hotel, a top luxury resort located in an old watchtower on a rock above the sea. The combination of thermal baths, pine forests, and a fantastic view makes it one of the most beautiful hotels on the island.

8. Hotel Il Pellicano, Porto Ercole

This is perhaps the most famous hotel of their entire trip: Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole. With those famous yellow and white striped sunbeds that you never want to leave. They are world-famous and have also been the backdrop for photos by our beloved super cool photographer Slim Aarons. Since its opening in the fifties, the hotel has been mega popular with international celebrities, including Jackie Kennedy and Sophia Loren.

With that amazing location on the cliffs of the Tuscan coast, I really think Il Pellicano can be counted as one of the most beautiful hotels in Italy.

The ultimate Italian road trip

What I love about Dua Lipa's honeymoon is that it wasn't just about one luxury resort in St Barts, but about a complete journey through Italy. From former monasteries to boutique hotels by the sea.

Are you also looking for inspiration for a romantic vacation through Italy, ...maybe this is the perfect route. Because it really doesn't get any more beautiful than an Italian road trip. The price tag may not be within our reach, but looking and dreaming is always allowed.
