Exactly that happened when I went to the launch of the new fragrance from the brand Lattafa last week. The location was quite urban, but you completely forgot that as soon as the carpet led you inside. That was of course due to the decor with draped fabrics and Eastern accents, but the biggest atmosphere creator was the scent that colored the space. Immediately I forgot that I had just struggled through traffic on the ring road of Amsterdam and felt like I was in sultry Dubai. The company, many beautiful women in floor-length dresses all with a blue accent thanks to the dress code, blended perfectly with the venue.
The scent that touches you
Until the official moment arrived, I indulged in the scents of Lattafa, which have the signature of being strong and unique, poured into beautiful bottles and accessible and therefore affordable for everyone. I became greedy for the scent of Khamrah – because I have a weakness for sultry amber-vanilla scents – and for Khamrah Qahwa, which is characterized by cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, tonka bean, and musk.

We were smoothly led through a corridor to the holy of holies. Images and sound effects enhanced the atmosphere, because here, in this blue-lit space, we would experience the new creation of Lattafa: Khamrah Waha. After an introduction from the Director of Lattafa himself, all the way from Dubai, the covers of the bottles were removed and we were allowed to spray and sniff. A unisex fragrance, like actually all fragrances from Lattafa, that moves with the tides. This scent carries the message that you recharge to then let your energy come to expression. Peace and strength in perfect balance.
A real statement and the perfect Father's Day gift
It feels refreshing without ever becoming superficial, and the striking square bottle is a real eye-catcher for any dresser. Personally, I think it's the perfect Father's Day gift. Your husband or father will absolutely love it – and secretly you will too. Khamrah Waha is surprisingly affordable and because the scent is also beautiful for women, there is a good chance that you will occasionally use a few sprays yourself.
Happy homecoming with a goodie bag
I went home very happily with my goodie bag, which contained a charger for my phone (I was still at 9 percent, so it was the best gift ever) and a wonderfully full bottle for Father's Day.
