Done with that white haze too?

We know that sun protection is perhaps the most important step in combating skin aging. And that you have to use it every day, that has been drilled into us by now. I do it dutifully, but I wasn't always happy when I applied a white-haze cream that glued my pores shut over my skincare. It seemed like a fine and usable product that provides your skin with the daily dose of SPF simply didn't exist. Until Prescription, that nice brand that the sisters who also brought the Soap Treatment Store into our lives launched the SPF-50 drops. Four to five drops a day is enough to protect your skin with SPF 50 against the influences of sun and light, and it feels great. No white haze, no blocked skin, just a very easy-to-apply product with amazing effects.

Prescription: science and skincare hand in hand

Let me first tell you something about Prescription, a brand born out of personal need. Stephanie and Esther Meijer needed a skincare brand that develops the best products for your skin on a scientific and no-nonsense basis. Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to skincare, they tried to isolate as many ingredients as possible so you can precisely choose what your skin needs. The SPF 50 drops offer the best possible broad-spectrum approach and have won the Marie Claire Prix d’Excellence de Beauté and the Dutch Beauty Award, awards that all beauty producers hoped to make room for in their trophy cabinets. But there can only be one best, and that is these beauty drops. Why? I'm going to tell you now.

SPF 50 drops: protection against UV and blue light

The SPF 50 drops contain UV-A and UV-B filters and also protect against blue light. So the negative influence of, for example, your laptop is also countered. The texture is very light and oily, making it a pleasant sensation to apply and the product quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving a sticky layer. I also regularly apply it throughout the day, simply because it feels nice and I then feel extra protected against the sun's influences. I keep a bottle of SPF 50 drops in my car. I often drive long distances and sometimes feel the sun burning on my hands. To prevent brown pigmentation on my hands, I then apply some sundrops.

The ingredients that make a difference

Then I'll let the science speak, because that's what Prescription is known for. The filters used in the SPF 50 drops are Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (UV filter against UV-A radiation), Ethyl methoxycinnamate (an organic UV-B filter), Ethyl triazone (a UV-B filter with high absorption value), and BIS-Ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (a UV filter that provides protection against UV-A, UV-B, and blue light). Additionally, there are supplementary ingredients such as Plukenetia volubilis seed oil, an inca inchi oil rich in omega 3/6 and 9 fatty acids that reduces redness and inhibits inflammation. Furthermore, the SPF 50 drops contain beta-carotene, a provitamin A and strong antioxidant that supports the SPF. Finally, raspberry seed oil (Rubus idaeus seed oil) has been added with a high concentration of vitamin E, which forms a powerful antioxidant.

How do you use the SPF 50 drops?

Then you naturally want to know three more things: what it costs, how to apply it, and where to buy it. The price is, like all Prescription products, particularly reasonable. Here you are not paying for expensive campaigns or famous models but for scientific research and the ingredients. A bottle of SPF 50 drops costs €39,-. The usage is straightforward and simple: apply four to five drops over your face, neck, and décolleté after your day cream, and possibly two extra drops on your hands. Some people apply it all over their body. That is of course also possible. It is also possible to mix the drops with your day cream or foundation. Keep in mind that the SPF may slightly decrease, for example from factor 50 to 35.

Where do you buy the SPF 50 drops?

And where do you buy it? Online at Prescription Beauty or at Skins Cosmetics.
