Dear, dearer, dearest: This is how Harry Styles is missed

It is Saturday and I'm casually flipping through Het Parool. A friend of mine is in it because she has written a book, so I want to read that. When I close the newspaper, I see a handwritten message on the back page, full page. The sender is Harry Styles. It says: Thank you, I love you! Amsterdam, you never forget the first, Thank you for having us! Harry + the Together Together Tour.
Hearts for Harry Styles
This is the second moment in a week that Harry Styles makes me fold a heart with my hands. Earlier this week, I saw that he had paid for all the coffees at a number of coffee shops for a day to thank Amsterdam for its hospitality. The staff of the coffee shops were also allowed to come to the show in the evening.
Harry and Zoë in Amsterdam
Amsterdam has embraced Harry and then settled in Harry's heart. We saw him running through Vondelpark, on a blanket with his girlfriend Zoë Kravitz, we saw Zoë eating at restaurant Gertrude. At the American Bookstore where I was yesterday, I saw prominently in the window: Join Harry Styles’ Bookclub. I called to inquire and that is also a nice story that shows both Amsterdam's love for Harry and the fans‘ love for Harry. The American Book Centre also played into the Harry hype by highlighting his favorite books. That was a great success. They always make an ’insteker', so a kind of bookmark, in this case with a photo of Harry Styles, and they cut and paste it themselves – I actually called the store – they kept busy with that.

Harry’s favorite books
I was very curious about which books Harry has on his shelf, and they are not the lightest works. A selection from his collection: the essays of Susan Sontag and various works by Alain de Botton, whom Harry met during his One Direction period and who would have greatly influenced his lyrics.
Success of the Bookclub
So I called the American Book Center today to inquire about the success, and heard that the letters have been wiped off the windows today because Harry's performances are over. Understandable, but he remains in our hearts. I also keep the Saturday edition of Het Parool.
