Everyone wants this 5-piece matcha set from Action and so do we

I thought I would ever become such a green matcha mouse ? No. But secretly, like many others who chase trends, I have become obsessed with that drink. And although such a to-go cup quickly costs more than a McDonald's menu, I just didn't want to buy a set to make it myself. That's way too expensive, because what if I can't make it? Well: I've forgotten that fear, because Action has a 5-piece set that is so cheap that you want to try it. It's such a bargain that it costs even less than a matcha itself. Seriously. Just take a look.
The 5-piece matcha set from Action costs even less than a matcha itself
A set to make it yourself matcha can quickly cost a fortune. The average prices for such a wavy bowl, matcha whisk, and sieve are around forty euros. And with some sellers, you don't even get a complete set for that, but just a bowl and a box of matcha powder. Luckily for you, and me, Action has saved us again. You pay no €57,99 or €48,28 but €6.95.
Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. You see it right. This 5-piece set costs you only six euros and ninety-five cents. That's just not normal cheap? You can't even score a to-go matcha with a mango puree for that in Amsterdam-Zuid. Speaking of insane.

What’s in the 5-piece matcha set from Action?
In this light green set, you can find a number of things: a matcha bowl made of porcelain to mix the tastiest matchas in, a bamboo matcha whisk – also known as a chasen – to whip your matcha powder, a chasen holder to store your whisk, a sieve, and a wooden stick.
Besides the fact that this set is very practical for making your matcha, it also looks nice in your kitchen. The white porcelain has a look that fits almost every color and kitchen. That's ideal, because you want to use such a beautiful bowl more as a showpiece than as a utility item.
How do you actually make a matcha?
Are you thinking now: “Nice, such a set, but what should I do with it next?” I totally understand that. I also thought it was terribly difficult to make a good one at home, but it's actually a lot easier than it looks. You do this in a few steps: matcha Step 1: the matcha goes in the bowl
Sift a small amount of matcha powder over the bowl. The packaging of your matcha indicates how much exactly. And the trick (
that we learned from our queen Veggilaine) to whip matcha best is not to ‘throw everything together’ at once. First, pour a small splash of warm water over the powder. Stir this well until you have a kind of thick matcha paste.tip to make your matcha at home better than at an average overpriced coffee shop 🤝.
@veggilaine Step 2: whisk the matcha
Once the bottom of your bowl looks like you've left Dubai chocolate in the sun too long, add the rest of the right amount of warm water. Hold the whisk in the middle of the bowl, without tilting it. Then start whisking quickly in an M or W shape. Not tilted, not in circles, but in this shape. This is the secret to a well-frothed matcha. Gently touch the bottom at first and slowly move further up to let your matcha hold more air. Are you getting small bubbles? Then it's ready.

We believe whisking matcha should feel calming and not complicated 💚 In Episode 3 of How to Matcha, the Naoki way, we’re sharing how to whisk a smooth, frothy bowl at home. The key? Hold your chasen upright and whisk in a M or W motion back and forth. This helps evenly dissolve the matcha and brings out that soft, creamy froth. But technique isn’t the only thing that matters. A few other details make a big difference too: 🌡️Water temperature – aim for 167-176°C for the best flavor and foam ⚖️Matcha-to-water ratio – too much water or too little matcha can flatten the froth 🌿Fresh, well-sifted matcha – helps it whisk smoothly With the right motion and a few simple tweaks, you’ll get that light, velvety foam every time 🌱 #naokimatcha #howtowhiskmatcha #matchatips #matchatok ♬ original sound – Naoki Matcha – Naoki Matcha
Then choose your dairy variant of choice. Personally, I find coconut milk the tastiest, but you can actually choose anything: from soy milk to the old familiar cow's milk. Put ice cubes in a glass. If you want to use a fruit puree, this is the moment to add it to your glass. Then add the milk. Do you prefer a syrup over puree? Then you can add it to the milk now. Then take your matcha bowl and pour the matcha on top.

from Albert Heijn or fan favorites like NIWA matcha powder. Have we convinced you yet?.
For €6.95 you have everything at home to learn to make matcha yourself. Even if you discover after three attempts that you prefer to stick with iced coffee, you won't have lost a fortune. It's worth a try, right? You can score it in the store or online. I would be quick, because sold out = sold out.
