If you are talking about cost per wear (a mathematical formula devised by Drs. May-Britt Mobach where you divide the purchase costs (X) by the number of times you use the product in question (Y) and how to keep that as low as possible), then buying a dog leash is an extremely wise decision. Because let's be honest: your dog has a rather limited wardrobe. You won't get much further than a collar, a leash, and maybe a sweater for the winter. So, in my opinion, you are completely justified in spending a little more on a nice dog leash and collar.

Why this dog leash is so nice
I always had a fairly classic leather leash, but I became greedy and happy when I saw the dog leashes from the brand Chommies at Bobbi’s Concept. These leashes and collars are handmade in Cape Town, South Africa, and everything about this brand is really nice.
Especially the playful, cheerful design, but also the different carrying options. You can easily make the leash longer or shorter and even twist it around your waist via your shoulder, allowing you to walk your dog with free hands.
It reminds me of Coco Chanel, who designed the chain for her bags so she could have her hands free for a glass of wine and a cigarette. Now, I usually don't smoke or drink while walking the dog, but a latte to go in my left hand and my phone in my right hand is a serious option.
What dog leashes and collars does Chommies have?
The leashes and collars come in various sizes and are made from high-quality materials with brass hardware. They are also UV-resistant, so no matter how long your walks in the sun are, that leash will stay nice.
And if it gets dirty? No problem, it can just go in the washing machine. Although I would put a laundry bag around it to protect the hardware (and your washing machine drum).

What makes you happy every walk again is the poop bag holder. I have a really cute little leather bag where you can store the roll of poop bags and easily pull out a bag.
You have these bags in all sorts of shapes, even in croissant variant. Also really a nice gift to give when someone gets a puppy.

They have a thick wink to No. 5 from CHANEL, but instead of No. 5, it says No. 2, subtly referring to Number Two. Or, well, I don't need to explain that, do I?
It's exactly that kind of unnecessary detail that makes me very happy.

The brand of the leash is Chommies, South African for buddies. Your dog is your Chommie, your best buddy, and that is what the leash expresses.
I think it's great and I become a little happier with every walk because of Monti's outfit.
