That America’s royal wedding didn’t take place on a cliff in Italy, but in Madison Square Garden, we already knew. But more information? We actually didn’t know that. Where everyone initially thought the bride had chosen a mansion in Rhode Island, suddenly all sorts of trucks appeared in the famous concert hall where not long ago the Knicks played for their NBA win: Madison Square Garden. Before we knew it, all the couple's friends were driving through New York in their evening attire and a large “JUST MARRIED” text appeared on the screens outside the building. But what actually happened, behind all that security and the strict no-phone policy? We don’t know for sure yet, but despite those likely NDAs, there are always some leaks. Luckily for us. A secret garden in the middle of Madison Square Garden

How it all went down, no one knows yet, but as we said: there is certainly something known. Sources say that the concert hall looked nothing like an arena where people perform weekly. The arena also didn’t look like a basketball court at all. According to those present, it felt more like a scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The entire stadium was covered with meters-high fabric drapes in peach and soft pink shades, making it impossible to see that you were actually in Madison Square Garden. The concrete floor disappeared under specially laid grass and gigantic flower installations, bushes, and trees appeared everywhere, making it feel more like you were walking into a secret garden than a stadium. Upon entering, guests walked past large photos of Taylor and Travis. These were not romantic vacation snapshots, but images of both from their childhood to their teenage years. You literally grew up with the couple as you walked further into the hall. The entrance was strewn with soft peach and white tones that beautifully matched all the flowers. It felt like something out of Shakespeare, with all that forest-like decor.

Yes, at a wedding you always need to have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Taylor didn’t have a blue microphone or an Eras Tour bracelet on, but she got her blue from the city itself. The Empire State Building lit up blue for the singer.

Claw machines full of Cartier and cars

That you go home with something from a wedding is not so surprising. But that you win a car? Uh… no one expects that. But at T&T’s wedding, apparently anything goes. Sources told Entertainment Tonight that there were all sorts of carnival-like games where you could win prizes, such as Cartier watches, designer bags, and even cars. One of the lucky ones drove home in a Chevrolet Chevelle.

In retrospect, all the rumors turned out to be true: Taylor wore a custom-made Dior Haute Couture dress designed by creative director Jonathan Anderson himself. With that, she made fashion history, as it is the very first time Anderson designed a couture wedding dress for a world-famous celebrity. The dress was made in close collaboration with Taylor herself at the famous Dior ateliers on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Travis also appeared in a custom-made Dior suit, while the couple both wore shoes from Christian Louboutin. Taylor completed her bridal look with jewelry from Cartier.

Which star friends were all present

Adam Sandler

This may not be someone you would expect at Taylor's wedding, but it was really true: multiple sources – and Taylor’s publicist – confirm that Adam Sandler was the one who married the couple. According to George Stephanopoulos, who was also present, the actor made a lot of jokes and was actually quite sensitive. TMZ even reported that he sang his own song about the love between Taylor and Travis. Well, if that doesn’t seem like a moment out of a movie, then I don’t know what does.

Karlie Kloss

Despite all the rumors that these former best friends would have had a falling out or even had a relationship, Karlie Kloss was simply present with her husband Joshua Kushner. When Taylor's album 1989 came out, she was super close with Karlie. They were two peas in a pod, until they suddenly were never spotted together again.

Selena Gomez

Of course, Taylor's best friend from the entertainment world, Selena Gomez, couldn’t be missing. Just like Taylor was at Selena’s wedding not long ago, Selena now also appeared in Madison Square Garden.
