These are the unhealthiest vegetables you can eat

Right, you think you're starting the year off right, with lots of vegetables... So you just eat the wrong ones. Which are actually not that healthy at all, that is. You don't want that, so from now on you know better.
Because let's be honest: those good resolutions to eat healthier and live better are really nice, but not always easy to maintain.
So when we are neatly sitting with the green beans – are we doing it right, or are we making the wrong choices? There are some dangers when it comes to healthy vegetables. Some vegetables can contain higher levels of pesticides. According to an article on Women’s Health, strawberries, spinach, and kale often contain more pesticides. Therefore, it is advisable to wash these vegetables thoroughly and, if possible, buy them organic.
Vegetables like spinach, beets, and celery naturally have a high nitrate content. Although nitrate itself is not harmful, it can be converted into nitrite and then into potentially harmful nitrosamines under certain conditions. Therefore, never eat large amounts of it in one day. But if you stick to regular portions like everyone else, it really won't hurt quickly, you know. But still safe to be sure.
And then: broccoli and Brussels sprouts can cause a more bloated feeling. They are a bit heavy for your intestines to process. So if you want to avoid that, don't eat them one evening. But otherwise, they are really very healthy, you know. The healthiest choices are still spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and kale, according to experts. They are all full of vitamins and other good substances that your body benefits from. So make those good choices this year and we will feel top fit by the end of 2025. But from now on, I will wash everything under the tap first, bye.
