TikTok star Charli D’Amelio on family feud: ‘I wouldn’t say they stole my money’

For months, rumors have been circulating, there was plenty of speculation about millions of dollars and it also didn't seem entirely cozy within the D'Amelio family on Instagram. Now, 22-year-old Charli D'Amelio responds to the stories about the feud with her parents.
And although she clearly denies one rumor, it doesn’t sound like everything is all sunshine and rainbows.
What’s going on between Charli D’Amelio and her parents?
In case you haven’t been paying attention the past few months: there’s quite a bit going on behind the scenes with the D’Amelio family, especially between daughter Charli and her parents. Charli, who became world-famous a few years ago with her dance videos on TikTok, is rumored to be in a conflict with her parents, Marc and Heidi D’Amelio. The cause? Money. And not exactly a small amount.
In May 2026, the American gossip channel reported DeuxMoi the story that Charli had discovered that millions of dollars had been transferred from accounts managed by her parents during her career. This money was supposedly meant as her savings. However, evidence for these accusations has not been made public.
Her father Marc reacted strongly to the stories at the time and denied that any money had been stolen. According to him, Charli was influenced by people around her. He also stated that the family had consciously remained silent about the rumors in recent years, but that he now felt compelled to respond.
And then, of course, it exploded on social media. Fans noticed that Charli and her parents no longer followed each other on Instagram. Her sister Dixie was also involved in the speculation. In other words: enough ingredients to get the internet speculating.
Did Charli D’Amelio accuse her parents of stealing her money?
Now Charli has spoken out about the stories in a very recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter And she does not confirm here that her parents stole money from her. On the contrary, she emphatically denies it.
‘No, that’s not true. I wouldn’t say they stole my money,’ she says about the accusations. She adds that as a family they have done many things together.
What exactly she means by that remains unclear. And that doesn’t really clarify this rather complicated situation. However, it seems that Charli is now taking more control over her financial matters, while family ties and business collaborations are changing.
Earlier this year, she also severed her business ties with Be Happy Snacks, the family’s popcorn brand. This doesn’t automatically mean that it’s directly related to the feud, but the timing doesn’t make the story any less striking.

And what about Charli D’Amelio and her sister Dixie?
Charli also receives questions about her older sister Dixie. Because when there are tensions within a family, it seems unlikely that the whole family is unaware of it. Still, Charli doesn’t want anyone to think that her love for her sister has simply disappeared.
‘That’s my sister. I will love her until the day I die,’ she says. At the same time, she acknowledges that there are moments when you are figuring things out.
Quite a statement that gives little concrete answers, but does indicate that the situation is more complicated than a simple he-said-she-said story about money. Whether the sisters are currently choosing the same side in the conflict is unclear.
Where do we know Charli D’Amelio from?
For those who mainly know Charli as that girl who made dance videos during the corona time.
her career has now grown into something much bigger. In 2019 and 2020, her dance videos went viral, and she quickly grew into one of the biggest and most well-known stars on the platform.
Together with her sister Dixie, she expanded her online success into a full career. The sisters got their own reality series, The D’Amelio Show, in which their parents also played a significant role. Viewers got a glimpse into their lives, including the downside of becoming famous at a young age.
Charli also won Dancing with the Stars in 2022 and later made her Broadway debut in the musical & Juliet. She also collaborated with major brands and became a well-known name outside of TikTok.
This makes the current situation even more complicated: her family was not only her home base but also played a role in the life and career they built together.
What does the family feud have to do with her fame?.
In the same interview, Charli also reflects on the period when her life suddenly changed completely. She shares that watching The D’Amelio Show sometimes feels like looking at a life she hasn’t fully experienced herself.
She also admits that the constant attention and criticism have affected her a lot. She describes how at one point she spoke less and showed her personality less, and now thinks that she emotionally shut herself off in certain ways back then.
