A HEALTHY BREAKFAST RECIPE

Our health and fitness editor Jet is hibernating for the entire month of November to cook up a storm. Or in her case, a cookbook. And since she doesn’t want us to go off the deep end when it comes to health, she’s found a couple a cool fit girls to guide us through the month. The last girl on the list to give us a bit of insight into her happy and healthy life is presenter and vlogger Sanny Verhoeven

So many different sources are telling us to eat less bread, I’ve been trying to change up my breakfast routine. But honestly, I don’t think there are too many options when it comes to healthy breakfasts that taste good too and I absolutely hate oatmeal. Although my favorite peanut butter (spelt) sandwiches are still a regular in my morning routine, the following three recipes have made the cut too.

Quinoa breakfasts are always great power boosts. I always pre cook my quinoa at the beginning for the week for a few days to save time in the mornings.

Nodig:

– 5 table spoon of cooked quinoa

– 1 pear diced into small pieces

– a handful of raisins

– walnuts

– a tea spoon of cinnamon

– a small bit of bio-honey

A boiled egg with a couple of handfuls of cooked spinach and mushrooms and 1 tomato sliced and baked.

Leave a cup of coconut milk in the fridge for a night with one tea spoon of chia seeds and add the following products, layer by layer, the next day:

What you need:

– nuts

– fresh fruit like passion fruit, black berries, raspberries, blue berries

– muesli

– optional: add some goat or coconut yoghurt
