MAY IN SISLEY HEAVEN
Was I interested in dropping by the Sisley SPA in the Byblos Hotel for a heavenly Sisley-treatment while in Saint Tropez? But of course.
Initially a three hour long treatment had been reserved for me, from which I would return looking super tight and refreshed, as if I had just had a facelift. As appealing as it sounded, I decided to stick with the one hour body massage.
After all, I was with my hubby and girls who I would, keeping the traffic from Ramatuelle to Saint Tropez in mind, leaving behind for give or take a rough 5 hours.
The valet from the five star hotel welcomed us, swirled our Espace to a nice parking spot and I gallivanted towards Sisley-heaven in the Sisley SPA of Byblos. Last year in New York I experienced a similar moment of bliss (although it was -20 at the time) where I was reborn after having had a massage with Sisley products.
This time it was Carine who treated me. She led me to the prettiest dressing room where an oversized bathrobe, fresh new slippers and a teeny tiny disposable panty were waiting for me. I went into a mosaic covered room surrounded by tiny lit candles where music was playing. All my love wanted to do was take photos: of the room, of me, of Carine. But Carine was a tough cookie.
This massage was all about relaxation and so no eaves dropping allowed. Bye bye she said with her amicable French accent and she shut the door. I lay down and immediately started to rattle on about Amayzine, our holiday, Ramatuelle’s beach, the roadtrip we were going to be making….
Until Carine turned off the light, turned up the music, covered my eyes with her hand and gave me a whiff of her hands covered in Sisley products. “I’m gonna give you a Zen massage. So sssht…”
And in that moment I was transported to another world. My back, my shoulders, my feet, my legs. Everything was being rubbed down by the most refined oils and aroma’s, and as you know, all products from this high end cosmetics brand are made on a vegetable basis. Hence the reason you feel so healthy after smearing it on.
After an hour I felt some snooping by my shoulder. “Did you enjoy your massage?” Well Carine: “There was only one really bad thing about it. That it had to end.”

Another tip from Carine:
If you have a cold or if you’re suffering from hay fever, spray some lavender oil onto a tissue and take a few whiffs. It helps and it looks very refined.
