Waarom je deze omstreden gloss juist wél wil
Als je een gloss in een stick lanceert, dan is er soms wat uitleg nodig, want voor je het weet kom je in een vicieuze cirkel van informatie die niet helemaal klopt. Zo kwam de super populaire TikTokker Merith met een video waarin ze de nieuwe Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick aanbrengt die daarna vrij snel breekt, daarop reageerde NikkieTutorials weer want bij haar gebeurde hetzelfde: ook bij haar brak de gloss. Hierdoor dachten we natuurlijk allemaal dat M.A.C, een van de grootste beautymerken, een minder goed, of wat zeg ik: slecht product op de markt had gebracht, maar alles blijkt minder waar. De Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick is, als je hem goed gebruikt, een van de allermooiste en ook wel meest bijzondere items die gelanceerd is sinds jaren. De verpakking zorgt alleen voor wat verwarring: je kan namelijk aan de stick draaien en ‘m niet zoals een lipstick terugdraaien, hiervoor is-ie ook niet gemaakt. Je klikt een heel dun laagje omhoog om het vervolgens te laten smelten op je lippen voor de zachtste, plumping, niet-kleverige, verzorgde lippen én het allerbeste nieuws: het blijft veel beter zitten dan een lipgloss. De kleuren zijn ook verrassend mooi, check hieronder maar even hoe mooi je ze kan combineren met een lippotlood. Ik ben fan!
@thelipsticklesbians I had to break down the nature of this very sensitive melting viral lip product, that I feel has been very misunderstood! It’s actually supposed to only be propel and not go back into the supported stick as it’s super soft, not that this is a bad thing this is actually the novelty. The way that it looks like melted butter paraffin on your lips— @maccosmetics was the OG when it came to lip gloss so I’m not surprised that they are at it again. Especially considering all the viral plumping soft melting textures we have seen this year. @makeupbymario, @YSL Beauty, @about-face, and @Kylie Cosmetics to name a few. Mac’s is the softest and most melting, also with a cooling and plumping twist more so than the other I named.
