Op deze bizarre manier heb je mascara nog nooit aangebracht

Een mascara is altijd verpakt in een plastic omhulsel, en zo nog duizenden andere beautyproducten. We zijn dit natuurlijk ook gewend, dus als het ineens verandert heeft het tijd, véél tijd nodig om hieraan te wennen. Zo zet Lush de eerste stappen in de toekomst met hun verpakkings- en plasticvrije, milieuvriendelijke Orca-mascara, waarbij je alléén de was koopt in zwart, bruin, blauw of roze. Plus: je krijgt er eenmalig drie verschillende recyclebare borsteltjes bij die zorgt voor volume, definitie (een kam aan één kant) en er is een met een ronde punt om je wimpers uit elkaar te halen. Toen ik dit product op mijn favo TikTokaccount @thelipsticklesbians voorbij zag komen, ben ik zonder twijfel op mijn fiets gestapt richting de Kalverstraat om het te kopen en natuurlijk uit te proberen, want ik was hier natuurlijk héél benieuwd naar.

Hoe het precies werkt?
Je shopt een stukje was (dat vol zit met goede en verzorgende ingrediënten voor je wimpers én milieu) met daarin ruimte waar het borsteltje doorheen kan. Je maakt één van de drie spoolies nat met warm water óf settingspray (zo blijven je wimpers nog beter zitten) en door een draaiende beweging in de was krijg je de mascara op je borsteltje. Dit breng je vervolgens aan op je wimpers en voilà, je wimpers zijn voorzien van een laagje mascara. Ik heb het voor je getest en als je van een heerlijk aanwezig laagje mascara houdt, dan is dit het misschien niet helemaal voor jou. Wil je subtiel je wimpers voorzien van een kleurtje en heb je van jezelf al volumineuze wimpers? De Orca it is. Het ziet er heel natuurlijk uit en blijft de hele dag goed zitten, ga er alleen niet mee door de regen fietsen of je moet er een laag van deze mascara overheen aanbrengen. Last but not least: wacht even tot dat je borsteltje met was niet meer zo nat is, anders vliegen de mascaraspetters over je gezicht (mijn fout de eerste keer, dus deze tip wil ik wel even met je delen). I was determined to thoroughly test her, so I started with the instructed water dip and then elevated the evaluation further by drenching the wand in @urban decay’s All-Nighter setting spray! Using setting spray on mascara brush is a hack you can use to create more hold and wear. The results genuinely surprised me, and I didn’t expect for it to give me so much color payoff and life on the lash as it did. So far, I’m surprised! @thelipsticklesbians Replying to @soupycough In the second phase of the evaluation, let’s evaluate how the @LUSH Naked Mascara performs with one of my favorite lash primers, the @Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D lash primer. I found that applying Lush’s Naked Mascara over a white lash primer, like Dior’s, not only intensified the blue hue of Lush’s mascara bulk, but also added noticeable length to my lashes. Lash primers, acting as a base coat, often contain conditioning and lengthening ingredients. This combination definitely showcased the transformative power of layering a primer rather than water underneath. This was such a fun exploration! @thelipsticklesbians Replying to @skullznsequinz Full day wear test is in of @LUSH’s Naked Mascara in the shade Ocean. Although it’s not perfect, it held up surprisingly well. Aside from a little bit of flaking, I didn’t experience any smudging and the vibrancy of its color stayed pretty strong after almost 10 hours of wear. (I also got to start evaluating @Laura Mercier’s new concealer, stay tuned for that soon!) It’s a bit messy, but IMHO kind of fun! I would definitely wear this again. And I want to explore the other colors I got too. What do y’all think?
