8 items that beg you for winter cold
That you catch yourself making a little jump when your weather app predicts 8 degrees for this weekend. That the day we switch to winter time (October 25 that is) is marked with an exclamation point and a heart circled in the agenda and the firewood is already waiting in neat piles for its first performance. No? Not? Not in the mood for winter? Just wait until I pull these items past your nose. Then you'll be singing a different tune.
- The ankle boots from Isabel Marant. I saw them at her store on the Rue de Seine (Isabel has a little corner there with her beloved Jerome Dreyfuss and it was good that the store was closed because my bank account wouldn't have survived). Are you going to order them online, netaporter.com doesn't have them but mytheresa.com does. They are expensive, very expensive. But they make me intensely greedy.
- The perfect size scarf from Acne. It is two meters long and 70 centimeters wide, making it the perfect, huge scarf size. Wine red, taupe, gray, bottle green, so all colors that can last through multiple seasons. It might be a bit pricey for a scarf at €130,- but a. you wear it every day, b. it elevates every outfit, and c. compared to those boots from Isabel, it's really nothing.
- The Tommy jacket. When we were at the show of Tommy in New York, it was 20 degrees outside and we actually wanted to immediately form a deep friendship with Tommy in the hope that he would donate us a complete wardrobe. Unfortunately, even we had to wait until the clothes were in stores, and that is now. Where is the log cabin? There is the log cabin.
- Chanel beanie. Hate the beanie but this beanie from Chanel, you want, need, and will have.
- Oversized pastel please. It remains and remains current and the nice thing is that it comes in increasingly affordable variants. Cos, Maje, Sandro. And in case of having enough money, I would gladly refer you to the counter of MaxMara and Céline.
- Wrap skirt from Isabel Marant. Actually, anything Isabel Marant ignites your winter desire but put a gun to our head and let us choose (that is if I already have those boots in my closet) then it will be this wrap skirt.
- Blouse with bow from Saint Laurent. Don't immediately think of the old aunt wrapped in Rodier (do you remember that brand? Oh so classy but can't be more frumpy) because when Hedi touches it for Saint Laurent, it becomes chic with a raw edge. You need quite a bit of fabric for a bow but just think of all those December parties, Christmas dinners, and New Year's celebrations that you will rock with this look.
- The objet de désir of our Liesbeth. She slipped them on her feet yesterday and since then, not half an hour has gone by without her sighing about these boots. They cost the bizarre amount of €1500 so the fact that they are no longer available in her size we consider in this case as a sign from God.
