Jet, May and the search for Victoria's Secret

“I don't care what happens, as long as we can go to Victoria's Secret.” Those words were spoken by Jet after she had danced for five minutes because we were going to New York Fashion Week. No worries, Jet, of course we're going to Victoria's Secret. Duh. I also had a few things on my wish list.

Once in New York, we stumbled over the US stores. The fact that we didn't have time to go inside (from Lacoste to Carolina Herrera via Jason Wu to Y3 and on and on) didn't matter at all. We were here for a week, our moment would come.

But as it goes during Fashion Week, especially in New York, the phone buzzed and emails with invitations popped in. Would we like to have coffee with Diane von Furstenberg? Of course. Would we like to get our hair done at the O&M hairdresser in Meatpacking District? Uh, yes. And so we hopped from breakfast to drinks and kept flashing by branches with beautiful bras, but there was really no time to go there.

Fortunately, the last day was still relatively empty. We filmed backstage at Michael Kors and then jumped to the front row, but after that the agenda was empty and Victoria's Secret was ours.

Trees Korstanje on the line. Bobbi Brown wanted to invite us to their headquarters on Broadway for a treatment. Could we also film. ? And whether we were going there. That worked out well because their headquarters is above the Prada store and, right, next to Victoria's Secret. How convenient.

Spoiled we were at Bobbi, there came goodiebags around the corner, our nails got a manicure and then a tour and books and I don't know what else. Meanwhile, time was ticking away. New York was filling up with traffic and if we wanted to catch JFK on time, we had to go now, NOW, NOW.

“It doesn't matter,” said Jet the optimist and the forward thinker. “There is also a VS branch at JFK so after checking in we can go wild there for at least an hour.” It couldn't be more perfect. We immediately filled those boring airport hours.

What do you think? Once at JFK there was indeed a store. But it was closed. Due to renovation. Sigh. Groan. Moan. You understand what our first stop is since then when we are in New York. Even if David Beckham invites us. Just when David Beckham invites us. First to VS.

And may we also like to order a little branch in the Netherlands? Thank you.
