This way you have a trendy Christmas tree
I am a Christmas junkie who grabs everyone who knows about it by the scruff to help me with the trends. Because hey, even a Christmas tree keeps up with the times. Red and gold baubles are of course totally out, I don't need to tell you that. But what is in?
Recently, René from the Zomers company (the florist of style) came to visit us, I immediately jumped him with my Christmas issues. It turned out he just happened to have the latest tree decorations in the trunk. I kid you not.
The trends:
- Of course, baubles are here to stay. But we see them transparent and in beautiful bronze tones.Bronze is really the color of this Christmas.
- Give your tree a vintage touch by hanging, for example, antique doll heads in it. Or a leg, a little hand... And no, that's not macabre but just fun.
- Too fun are the Carmen curlers disguised as Christmas decorations. You have them in silver and gold. They need to go to Leco, immediately.
- The ‘candle lights’ that you clamp to your branch one by one really can't be done anymore. Just use a real candle if you want it that authentic way. Do have a bucket of water ready because you never know. Better to choose those cozy cluster lights with lots of small light points. You can also take those in a deep shade of yellow that matches beautifully with your decorations.
- Under the tree, it's nice to place some classic items like a very beautiful winter picture book and some Russian Matryoshka dolls..
Merry Christmas, it has officially started from now on. (sorry, Lies...)
