10 NYE decoration ideas you steal from Pinterest

New Year's deserves a little attention. Of course, the Christmas tree is still in the house and I really understand that the little angels are still hanging around here and there. But there should definitely be a bit more gold and glitter brought out to enter the new year as fun as possible. And since the Christmas tree my addiction to Pinterest is quite large and I seize every party to bring out the decorations, I gathered the most inspiring pictures together that will also get you crafting. Balloons.

If you're on Instagram, you're bombarded with number and letter balloons. Let's be honest, that's just really fun and it looks very cool in your house. You want to have it.

Pom poms.

I find them very funny. You probably still have a ball of yarn lying around with which you can make these pom poms. You know, wrap it around a piece of cardboard, cut it loose, and then wrap a string around it. This time not for your hat, but for a pick.

Cake pops.

And if you're already in the cake pop mood, you can immediately get started with glitter and straws. Xenos has transparent straws and those threading ones in gold and silver with which you can make the coolest and cutest shapes. It also looks quite nice on the cake.

Alternative.

Yes, I'm celebrating New Year's with some

pregnant friends and to not have them drinking that disgusting non-alcoholic champagne all evening, this is an alternative. They can just drink a boring drink, but keep it a bit sneaky in this cool golden mason jar. At least it still looks a bit nice. Fortune.

I am really crazy about fortune cookies. But they become even crazier with a bit of golden glitter on top. You can get edible gold glitter at the food store. Just brush it on and voilà, super cute.

Golden champagne.

Just take the golden spray can and give the feet of the glasses a color. Maybe it's handy to start now, then at least it's dry for the evening and you won't end up with golden hands. Although that would look quite cozy.

Counting down.

To stay with the

champagne glasses for a moment, put a sticker on it and counting down becomes so much more fun. Although I do wonder if you'll still enter the new year somewhat fresh this way. I refer you back to number 1. It's just fun. And if you don't have numbers or letters, these simple golden examples will do just fine. As long as there are many of them. That at least creates an enormously festive effect.

Banners.

You really don't have to zigzag banners through the room, you know. You can just hang them from the ceiling to the floor. And then fill an entire wall. Quite cool.

Banners 3.0.

For the real crafter, here's an alternative to the banner. You cut out a message from gold paper and stick it on black. Black and gold is anyway a very beautiful and chic combination.
