5 eating habits
that won't hurt to try out

Shoving a sticky sandwich down in three bites and still washing it down with some gulps of whole milk with a full mouth. I can picture a construction worker right now. You too? I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of burps come out afterwards. I don't want to play the stupid food police, and I'm not saying you should do that, but what I just said is really not good for your body.
Imagine, you've decided to eat healthier in 2015, then I'll give you five eating habits that really won't hurt to try out. Good for your health, good for your body, good for your mind. Well, everything in one. Toi toi toi!
– Drink more water. At least 2 liters preferably. That's four bottles of spa blue. Make sure you always have a bottle of water in your bag and a carafe on your desk. And if you sometimes find water a bit boring, you can add a slice of cucumber, lemon, some ginger, or a piece of orange.
– Make a different choice more often than opting for quick carbohydrates, like white bread and white pasta. Preferably take whole grain, quinoa, or chickpeas. Sweet potato, pumpkin, lentils, or wild rice are also delicious. So much better for digestion and you'll feel full longer.
– Try to eat a bit slower. Did you know that you should chew each bite about 37 times? If you shove everything down quickly and chew far too little, you'll quickly feel bloated and might burp quite a bit. The calmer you eat (so also enjoy more and be more aware of what you're eating), the more satisfied you'll feel, and your food will be much easier to digest this way. Seriously, say hello to your killer body.
– Sugar is quite a culprit for us. It makes you tired and is definitely a bit of a fattening agent. I'm not saying you should stop completely, but cutting back is fine. In any case, choose good sugars. Dates, agave syrup, raw honey... Something like that. Trust me, try to eat as little sugar as possible every two weeks. You'll feel as fit as a fiddle. Look, here I have a nice little schedule for you.
– And then one more thing. Eat at the table instead of in front of the TV. I don't know if you do that, but it's really much better to take the time for a meal and be aware of what you're eating. Sitting up straight and paying attention to your food helps a lot with digestion.
