Anouk in, Ilse out
Big news in music land! Singer Anouk will be joining as one of the new coaches in The Voice of Holland. At least equally big news is that she will take the swivel chair of her colleague Ilse DeLange . The Common Linnet is leaving the talent show after two seasons, just like coach Trijntje Oosterhuis. The latter will be replaced by Miss Montreal.
The switch can be described as exciting and surprising on various levels. Participation in a super-commercial program like The Voice is not something you would expect from the rebellious Anouk, but as she has said in several interviews: mothers have to earn a living for their five kids (and three baby daddies).
It is also quite spicy that she is taking over the spot from Ilse, the singer with whom she claims to have no problems, but from whom she still threw her new album in the trash and posted this picture on social media. She probably finds it a pity that she just misses Trijntje, with whom she actually gets along well.
And then it becomes speculation about the atmosphere in the new season. With the departure of Ilse and Trijntje, a certain sweetness and charm disappears that is harder to find with Anouk and Sanne Hans. And how will those two tough chicks do together? Will they become buddies or will it be hard against hard? John de Mol, you have managed to keep us on the edge of our seats again. Hats off!
