5 reasons
to visit the dermatologist
Some things are more fun and beautiful as they get older; think good wine and leather jackets. Some things a little less so, and that is your skin. That you need to be careful with it, I have tried to tell you here and here and with the right creams, you can prevent or counteract quite a bit. But there are really a few issues for which you better visit the dermatologist if you don't want to wear out your skin too quickly.
Dark spots
Dark spots often occur on an older skin. They look like a kind of freckles but have a gray-brown color. You often see them on the cheeks, nose, under the eyes, or above the lip and the hands. It is actually over-pigmentation and is often associated with aging because then all those spots have time to form. A dermatologist can work with light and laser treatments to solve it and get the skin spotless again.
Sunscreen
Sunburn is of course never good. In any case, the sun causes a ten years older look, can welcome those wrinkles, and also burns something from the inside, but it can be even worse. Really. If the skin is really severely burned by the sun (so blisters, swollen skin, or open wounds), then it is handy to visit a dermatologist. Red laser therapy will reduce the fiery content. Now the aging effect will not go away and wrinkles will of course not be lasered away, but in the short term, it will certainly help to make the burn less painful and less permanent.
Sagging skin
Look, there are of course the necessary application movements to make the skin firmer, but sometimes a cream does not solve enough. There are treatments with radio signals that can make the skin a lot tighter and thus lifting can make. By means of radio signals, waves are created that stimulate collagen production. Very nice and handy for face and body, where it the décolletage, chin, and neck are of course super nice to include.
Acne scars
Had huge trouble with teenage pimples or acne before? Yes, then you are probably still on the blisters now. The acne is probably gone by now, but you still have trouble with the scars. A visit to the dermatologist can lead to a chemical peel that will remove the redness or dark marks. A laser treatment takes a bit longer, but will ultimately also help. Hello nice, fresh skin with nothing to see!
Surgical scars
A surgery is not nice, especially not when it leaves the necessary scars. A dermatologist will prescribe the necessary creams that hopefully will smooth out the scar. Do go quickly, otherwise the scar is already nestled in the skin and heavier artillery will have to come into play.
