7 THINGS
THAT YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE VICTORIA'S SECRET SHOW
Yesterday it was finally here. The show that makes all models weak in the knees. Fashion-wise not really a highlight, but if there were an Oscar for fashion shows, Victoria's Secret would win it in the category of Spectacle and casting director Ed Razek for making models incredibly happy (and yes, also deeply sad).
Last night was the show and yes, you might have missed it because it will only be broadcast in December. But we gathered the most important facts. And no, there is no cancer cure included, but it is fun to read.
1. The show cost 20 million
When you consider that there was a line-up of 47 top models and there was a bra worth two million, then that's actually a bargain. Those twenty million are completely negligible.
2. Gigi's highlight
When Gigi heard last week that she could strut her stuff in the army of Victoria's Angels, she cried. She has dreamed of this her whole life. That people then comment on her Instagram account that it's ridiculous to dream of this I find so sad. Then don't follow her if you don't care about it at all. I think it's amazing for Gigi. The woman who is so beautiful that my friends say they would almost become lesbian because of her.
3. The performances
Who performed? That's one of the most important questions that needs to be answered. Our friend (well, ours anyway) Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd, and Selena Gomez.
4. The duo
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were the Victoria virgins and almost sparkled off the stage.
5. Kris and Caitlyn
There they were. Kris and Caitlyn (formerly known as Bruce) Jenner sitting together in the front row. I have all sorts of opinions about this family and this public cuddling, but I've decided to keep my mouth shut because in the end, there are two proud parents who love their daughter immensely.
6. The most expensive
Lily Aldridge got to wear the most expensive bra. Her showpiece is worth two million and is adorned with 6500 gemstones. And no, this is definitely not the most expensive fantasy bra ever. That was worn by Gisele Bündchen and was worth 15 million. Hatsekiedee.
7. How rude
A journalist from TMZ asked Magdalena Frackowiak what she was going to eat after the show. That question didn't sit well with her and she asked him to come up with a ‘smarter question’. Okay, next time we'll ask you what you think about the influx of asylum seekers and whether a government should prioritize the needs of refugees or if national interests weigh heavier in the political debate.
Pfff, I get so tired of these types.
