Without breakfast, I can't get going. And not quickly, but I prefer to take a little time for it, although that rarely works out. take the time, although that rarely happens. Often it becomes a shake on the bike or I gulp it down in two minutes. I know, not a good example of this wannabe fitgirl. I need to change that.

Opinions are quite divided on whether breakfast is important or not, but I can't function without it. Hence, in this healthy and fun journey, here are three of my favorite breakfasts that seem tricky but are really quick to make and also super nutritious, starting your day with a good dose of energy.

Vegetable smoothie, but red

People often get a bit squeamish about green in the morning, but throw in a sweet fruit and you can hardly taste the green anymore. And the color often changes too.

Here's what you need and how to make it

1 handful of kale
1 half banana
A few generous splashes of coconut water
A few pieces of celery stalk
A handful of blueberries

Put everything in the blender and let it mix well for a few minutes. The kale always takes a lot of time to become completely smooth. If you find the smoothie too thick, add a little more coconut water.

Teff is cool

You can buy teff at EkoPlaza or another organic supermarket. I really love it. The texture is a bit like the Brinta from back in the day. Teff is a gluten-free grain.

Here's what you need and how to make it

A glass of almond milk
1 tablespoon of flaxseed
1 banana
4 tablespoons of teff

Put a small pot with almond milk and teff on the stove. Let it heat up well and then turn the heat low. This seriously takes no more than three minutes: it's ready that quickly.

Pour the porridge into a bowl and add banana slices and some flaxseed. For those with a sweet tooth, you can use sweetened almond milk or add a little honey at the end.

Oatmeal with easy fruit

Here's what you need and how to make it

Water
3 tablespoons of oatmeal
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Frozen red fruit (found in every freezer in the supermarket)
A few crumbled pecans
1 apple
Goji berries

Okay, the amount of ingredients sounds like a lot, but get them at home because you can make so many different breakfasts with them.

Put a pot on the stove with a layer of water, the oatmeal, and the chia seeds. Let it get warm (not boiling!) and keep stirring. I often put the lid on for a minute with the heat off. Put the warm oatmeal in a bowl topped with some frozen fruit (I always have a bag of red berries in the freezer). The fruit melts immediately. Then add a peeled and chopped apple, some pecans, and goji berries, and your power breakfast is ready.
