Modern Handwriting
– this is how you get the best out of your your own handwriting –
You probably noticed that I was in Singapore last week because I already here and here caught you up on that. Why I was there, yes, I still need to tell you about that. I was invited by Bloesem Blogs, a super fun blog about living and creativity, to give modern handwriting workshops there. My favorites came together; drawing . Oh my, I couldn't have been luckier. and Then I started at my father's company. At first, I secretly found it very boring, but I learned an incredible amount from him about sales. For example, how you always have to put the customer first.”. So off I went with my suitcase full of drawing supplies – and a few summer outfits – on my way to Singapore. 13 hours of travel really takes its toll, but when you are welcomed with.
onic gin tsushi and the sweetest people, that jetlag is immediately gone., Moreover, there was no time for a jetlag because I had to get to work the next morning to gather all the ingredients for the workshop. We did that in a huge Chinese storage. You call, they search. For me, it was a miracle how they managed to find anything here – see photos, that says enough – but at the word.
came out from behind three boxes and four bags a pack of brushes. So there must be some sort of system ‘kwasten‘ in place. The advantage of such a huge storage is that they really have everything, and I mean everything. In all kinds, sizes, and colors, so I couldn't help but have fun and eventually gathered the most beautiful package for the students.. That package needed to be styled, and that's where Irene from Bloesem Blog excels. She positioned it perfectly on the table, casually added some beautiful flowers in a vase, and ta-daa. The table is ready.
After I had somewhat controlled my.
nerves and threw in some English words in the translation app – yes my heavens, I had a total blackout, I could welcome the people with love. When all the students come in full of enthusiasm, with huge smiles, you know it’s going to be fun, so those nerves were really for nothing. I kicked off with a general talk about modern handwriting and hoped to inspire many people with some examples. It was a bit tense for all the students, I understand, because when there’s a stack of sketch paper in front of you, you really don’t know where to start. No worries, even the most horrible handwriter can do this. It sounds cliché, but practice makes perfect. A few writing exercises loosened up the wrists, a bit of splattering with ink brought out the.
Van Gogh in the students, and an occasional whispered tip ensured that sketch paper was filled in no time. Ha, we had started. After two hours of intense practice, everyone had a stunningly beautiful result on paper, and I started bouncing with pride. It was so cool to see everyone create such beautiful and inspiring things. VAnd hey, I’ve given you some tips now, but hopefully, you understand that I’m really not going to reveal everything. You’ll have to pull my sleeve sometime, and I’ll make sure you get the most beautiful handwriting. I foresee a world change; from chicken scratch handwriting to hallelujah fonts. Already looking forward to the next classes.
