JOSSELIN THE CAKE QUEEN

– The solution for my blunders –

I am happiest with shows like Heel Holland Bakt (did I just say that, yes, I said that), and Rudolph’s Bakery on 24Kitchen. I always get a godawful craving from it, only the problem is that I’m not much of a cake baker myself. I can manage a little apple pie, but give me a recipe for a lemon or carrot cake and the chance is about 99% that it will fail miserably. So I have to find my happiness elsewhere.

I have found it in the meantime. With all the consequences that come with it. At the two-year anniversary of Amayzine there was a real macaron tower with sweet custom-made pink macarons from Sugarlips Cakes. Now I wasn’t there (horror, damn, the chubby one), but I have surfed to the site so incredibly often that my sugar levels have been somewhat curbed that way. And I have thought that I would like to celebrate my birthday every month, what am I saying, every week, with such a lucky cake or macaron tower and that I am going to get married twenty times a year.

They are incredibly creative and have helped many businesses with the perfect pastry. Michael Kors has provided many parties with the perfect MK macaron, The Amsterdam Dungeon had a huge horror mouse cake, and Stage Entertainment surprised the employees with fitting musical cakes. You can’t get enough. Because besides being incredibly beautiful, they are also very delicious.

To come back to my cake bakingskills. From now on, I will put that time into decorating the stuff. And of course into eating it. Because eating cakes made by someone else is actually much more fun and it tastes so much better.
