KARLIE’S FASHION CARNIVAL
We always find it wonderfully refreshing when high fashion is taken a little less seriously than is usually the case during fashion week. And that must have been what Karlie Kloss thought when she organized the very first Fabulous Fund Fair. Not a stiff charity evening, but a crazy fashion carnival to close London Fashion Week.
For the benefit of The Naked Heart Foundation, a charity dedicated to disabled children, the American supermodel together with colleague and friend Natalie Vodianova transformed the famous Roundhouse in Camden into a circus where Stella McCartney served her vegetarian hotdogs and the Louboutin high heeled Olympics were held. It was the absolute place-to-be in London on Monday night and the tent was filled with everyone from Cara Delevingne and Taylor Swift to Lindsay Lohan and Calvin Harris.
Instead of bidding on overpriced items during a lengthy auction, one could buy tokens here and spend them on the insane attractions like haute couture makeup with Pat McGrath or fishing for Louis Vuitton rubber ducks. Suzy Menkes served as the if fashion fortune teller and Natalia made herself available in the Guarlain super model kissing booth. To complete the party, there was also a Dior ice cream cart and Karlie sold her homemade cookies. Next Fabulous Fun Fair please in Amsterdam, Karlie.
