You can't be serious! Kiko Milano in the Netherlands
I've been skiing every year since my youth always found skiing really cool. Whether I'm good at it is another question, but when asked if I wanted to join a ski/wellness trip in the Italian ski area Val di Fassa (part of Dolomiti Superski, with over 1200 kilometers of slopes the largest ski region in the world), I didn't have to think long. That sounded incredibly Cheryl-Morero-à-la-Gooische-Vrouwen skiing. And I'm totally up for that. in Livigno, a picturesque Italian village just over the border in Switzerland (think winter campaign Dolce & Gabbana). Of course, to shine on the slopes, but also because the place is known for its designer-laden shops. Moreover, due to some complicated tax story, the items are much more reasonably priced. This is heaven…
I'm not the worst, so I definitely pour myself an Aperol Spritz after skiing, but then I rush as fast as my lazy snow boots can take me to the Kiko Milano store. The makeup mecca of Italy. Compare it to M.A.C, only for a third of the price.
I grab a basket and throw everything in that comes my way. I often don't even try it out because I know the quality never disappoints me and the colors usually don't either. Highlight of this year's surprise package? A green eyeliner that I use above my black eyeliner at the end and a bright orange lipstick.
My friends who stayed home were happy when I brought all kinds of makeup for them. “You don't have that in the Netherlands, do you!” I chirped gleefully. Until a lovely Amayzine colleague noticed my orange lips this week and informed me that there has been a Kiko Milano in the shopping center in Amstelveen since the end of last year. The first in the Netherlands, yes yes. So you understand where I spent this weekend…
