MAY IS IN LOVE
CRUSH ON THE CROSSOVER
When a couple is expecting a child, the woman gets a cleaning urge (when I was cleaning the inside of the toilet tank, I really knew for sure) and the man buys a new car.
When I was about seven months pregnant, my car suddenly stopped. It was just before the destination and nothing serious at all, but from that moment on, a new car was a must and before I knew it, we were looking at an even more hopeless station wagon in a hopeless showroom.
Fortunately, my love thought the same as I did about the equation child + station = it doesn't get more bourgeois than this, so we went to a much nicer showroom where we were sold a big jeep. Safe, spacious, but still cool.
Just like with clothing, food (when was the last time you had bar nuts at a party? Or chips with a dip? Well then) and drinks (I almost dare not order rosé anymore…) there is also a trend in cars. Nowadays, everyone finds the station too frumpy for words (my trust in people's taste has received a huge boost because of this) but the jeep, that can’t be anymore. Too bad for the environment and actually also disproportionately expensive. At least while refueling, I always just think about what exquisite four-course menu I could have ordered for that amount. had kunnen bestellen.

Station out, jeep over, enter the crossover. And because it is my job to test a trend up close first, a brand new Renault Kadjar was driven in yesterday. Already a very special launch because how often is a truly new type of car released? We see many updates of a certain type or other versions of a model that does very well, but a truly new automobile… That doesn’t happen so often anymore.
The crossover Kadjar is really spacious, like a family car, sits just a bit higher (which is very nice for people of my stature because I have a good overview of the road), but has a lot more coolness than an average family car. Our love is still fresh, but even now I notice that it has that nice smooth driving behavior that characterized all ‘my’ Renaults and that it lets in a lot of light. Very good against an upcoming autumn depression, I can tell you. Don't like light? Then there’s a little screen that you can close with the push of a button.
Because you simply don’t have as many cars as handbags, it’s handy that the type of car you have is adaptable to your state of being. Sometimes I go out with my family and it’s fine if the car gets a bit more of a family look, but another time I want to quickly go into the city and I want my car to fit me at that moment. This Kadjar has it all. Oh well, I could have thought of that. It’s not called crossover for nothing… eat with friends When a couple is expecting a child, the woman gets a cleaning urge (when I was cleaning the inside of the toilet tank, I really knew...
