MOST UNIQUE HOTELS IN THE WORLD

Looks really nice, such a hotel room with a bed and a bathroom. And also very nice, a hostel with dozens of potential new best friends around you. But for those who feel like something different or, like me, want to daydream a bit during Dutch rain showers, I have this list: the most unique hotels and hotel rooms in the world.

Ecological small pods, a kind of igloos, in the middle of the snowy nature. You have a view of the mountains from your bed and slide out of bed directly onto the slopes.

A resort that does not lack luxury, built against and IN the rocks and overlooking the sea.

Not for those with claustrophobia, this hotel is underground. The Mine Suite is located 155 meters deep in the earth. A guide takes you there and picks you up the next morning. Your phone doesn't work there, but if you experience acute panic, there is (thankfully) an intercom that is in contact with someone above ground 24/7.

For those who find the Mine Suite just a bit too much but still prefer to go deeper than higher, the Poseidon Undersea Resort is an option. Here you sleep among the fish in the sea. Yup, time to bring out your inner Ariel. It’s not open yet, but you can already sign up for the reservation list.

You literally sleep in an igloo here. A real one, made of snow. There are thick fur blankets and super warm sleeping bags, but especially bring a warm love to cuddle against at night, because it’s definitely not tropical.

If you like less snow but still enjoy the cold; fly to Sweden and book a night in the Icehotel. That is, you wouldn't expect it, completely made of ice. Perfect for those who love Frozen because there’s no better place to sing your hardest LET IT GOOOOOO while pretending to conjure that whole hotel out of nowhere like Elsa with your own hands.

A resort with the luxury and beauty like you can only find in Bali. It is built against a mountain and each suite has its own infinity pool.

Even more nature, but a bit closer to home. In Spain, you can sleep in a treehouse, a treehouse that hangs 10 meters above the ground. The whole thing is completely ecological and an hour and a half drive from Barcelona, so ideal for some wooded variation during a city trip to Barça.
