KORT HAAR, MAAR GEEN ZORGEN
October seems to be the month in which most women feel the need for a totally different hairstyle. Summer is over, it's winter crisis and so there is a much-needed change. So hop, the scissors in. And that short haircuts do very well has already been proven by Keira, Charlize, and Scarlett. And if you want to be sure it looks good with your face shape, we have everything summarized below.
Do: You want to elongate your face because you don't want to become a round ball. A messy pixie cut is therefore for you. You don't want it to come across as too neat, and with a messy look, you create a bit more volume on your head. This makes your face look longer and gives you the desired effect.
Don't do: Bobs and bangs are better avoided. Then you really get a bit of a doll head.
Do: A heart-shaped face is actually an inverted triangle. You have a somewhat wider forehead and narrower jaws. You should choose hairstyles that create a bit more balance at the bottom of your face. A bob to the chin would work well, and with an asymmetrical bang, you break the appearance of the wide forehead a bit. It's mainly important that you don't accentuate the forehead too much, but rather draw attention to your jawline.
Don't do: Heavy bangs or updos where you pull all the hair off your forehead. That's a shame. Cover it a bit.
Do; Make your face longer. So avoid huge angles in the face (and thus sharp lines in your hairstyle), but keep it a bit looser. A slanted bob suits your face well. It can all be cut asymmetrically.
Don't do: Don't go for blunt lines or very short pixie cuts. That makes your face even more square and blocky.
Do: Actually, this is exactly the opposite of the heart-shaped face. Go for a hairstyle that gives more volume at the top of your face. For example, with some layers or just a good curl. You need to draw attention to the top of your face, which takes it away from your jawline. Such a hairstyle brings more balance to your face.
Don't do: Cuts that stop at your chin. Do it either shorter or longer. If you take exactly the line of your chin, it actually gives even more accent to the jaws and makes them look even wider.
Do: Actually, you can have just about anything. Your face is extremely balanced and you really have to go very wrong to throw it all out of balance. So you can go très short and it will still not go wrong.
Don't do: Well, it simply cannot go wrong.
