Normally, Jet writes about the nicest places to have a bite and a drink, but Jet is on vacation and so I have taken her spot. Because it is summer and that needs to be celebrated. That’s why I have listed the most fun beach tents. I have no idea what’s on the menu, for that you really need to check with our Jetje, no, I made the ranking based on the most inspiring interiors. Yes, there must be a difference. But the enjoyment definitely remains the same.

Tijn Akersloot – Zandvoort
Atmosphere? Surfers Paradise is executed just right here. Surfboard on the wall, wooden tables. And the Fiat in the middle of the beach tent is of course the eye-catcher. Way too cool and fun.
Why? No pretentiousness, just relaxed. It is very accessible and all those different chairs make sure you dare to walk in barefoot.
Where? Boulevard Paulus Loot 1B Zandvoort

George no. 5 – Zandvoort
Atmosphere? You probably know George, so that concept has just been brought to the beach. The Parisian bistro remains, although a touch of the Caribbean has been added. Lots of white, wooden white chairs, beautifully tiled walls, and a damn nice swimming pool. Or actually two. Even better.  

Why?If you don’t feel like sandy feet or lying in the middle of a sandstorm, you just move to the beach tent. You’re out of the wind, but still in front of a pool, where you can also seek refreshment. And the loungers. Those loungers are the key, so relaxed. They could easily turn it into a hotel.

SB Noord – Bergen aan Zee
Atmosphere? Sissy-Boy store in real life. I don’t think more explanation is needed, right?
Why? Because it has that incredibly relaxed feeling. You sit in the most beautiful cushions, the tables have just that nice extra touch and everything is served on the prettiest plates. All the details you see at Sissy-Boy are also reflected in the beach tent. Oh yes, you can also do a bit of shopping. So go with an empty beach bag, it will fill itself on the way back.

Aloha – Wijk aan Zee

Atmosphere? Actually, it’s a mix of everything. Aloha Beach radiates a surf village vibe with palm trees and palm leaves visible on the wallpaper. There are all kinds of African dolls in cabinets and surfboards hanging on the wall. There’s a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere there. A bit darker than the other beach tents, but incredibly refreshing and different.
Why? All the surf dudes, kite surfers, and runners gather here, so think about it. The most attractive people gather here.
