the beach bag of May
My weekend always starts with a stressed hawk-like glance towards the sky. How is the weather? Is it going to get better? Is it going to stay like this? I am quite beach-oriented you should know. Give me three rays of sunshine and I’ll jump in the car towards the coast.
Then I throw my basic essentials in a bag. Yesterday I had an incredibly fun and useful lunch organized by my friend Anouk Smulders. All these decisive women came together to make plans for Ovarian Cancer Day. That is on September 26, you probably know that. The foundation that raises awareness for this is called Ruby and Rose and I think this bag is a perfect way to create visibility. It’s also really cute.
Furthermore, there is a bath towel from Petit Bateau, my favorite summer brand, a swimsuit from Marlies Dekkers (really, it does a lot for your body. Since I’ve been wearing it, three people in my circle have bought the same swimsuit), such a lovely facial spray from Chanel (the pinnacle of luxury) and a factor 50 sublimage protection from Chanel. My sunglasses from Fendi I’ve had for years and they still look great and good.
And then there’s that wonderful book about Yves and Karl and the years when they ruled Paris and chased after the same men and so on.
May I please have a pinch of sun now?
