It's time again for the digital bonbons of Saturday afternoon. Here’s what happened this week:
amfAR, where everyone is cooler than you
The most glamorous beautiful-people party during the Cannes Film Festival is by far amfAR, the organization that conducts research on AIDS and currently aims to have a cure by 2020 against the disease. The location: Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The the turnout of supermodels is unmatched, the dresses are revealing. Leonardo DiCaprio donated a Banksy worth $1 million, Lara Stone was the most beautiful of the ball (but wore yet again a ill fitting dress with flat shoes (#flatgate)) and Eva Longoria bought a Warhol for half a million. There was more dubsmashing. There was a lot of dancing. And Leo was said to have gone home with Paris Hilton.
Seth & Blair are having a baby
Leighton Meester is pregnant. The actress announced this week that she is expecting her first child with Adam Brody. We look forward to seeing Blake and Leighton with the Bugaboo on Park Avenue in nine months.
Sad news for Ashley Olsen
Less cheerful news about Ashley Olsen this week. The actress is said to be suffering from Lyme disease. A source tells in OK Magazine: “She is very sick and it’s getting worse. The diagnosis was only made at a late stage, leaving doctors with little they could do for her,” the source says. “The measures that are taken with early detection were not an option for Ashley.”
The Dutch girlfriend of Antonio Banderas
The red carpet in Cannes is a place where new glamour couples like to come out. A très chique way to confirm to the world that it is indeed on. So also for Antonio Banderas who is said to be dating Nicole Kimper after his divorce from Melanie Griffith, a Dutch investment consultant he reportedly met last year during the film festival. This week they appeared together on the red carpet. What, although she looked stunning, seemed a bit of an awkward experience for Nicole. Antonio waved wildly at the photographers, blew kisses and made funny faces. The Dutch seemed to feel a bit uncomfortable with the attention-seeking.

That Yolanthe is pregnant is incredibly exciting for the Netherlands. The first belly photo of Wesley Sneijder's wife almost broke the internet last week and this week everyone rushed to the magazine rack to gawk at Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau with belly on the cover of a gossip magazine. We see Yolanthe in a tight red dress with an oversized cardigan against the backdrop of the sea. She is smiling. She looks radiant. Go Yolanthe.
