These will be the beauty looks of autumn

– the four trends you need to know –

On Wednesday, I had the beauty presentation of the year. A morning where M.A.C Cosmetics emotions come out. From tears at a commercial to deep soul-searching about life during an episode of trends for the upcoming season are lined up and brought to life by the best makeup artist on earth. This time the honor goes to Baltasar Gonzalez Pinel and Elke Willemen to show us all those inspiring trends with the most beautiful images. You probably can't wait to hear about them in detail from me, because let's be honest; first, let's get through the sun and summer, but a short line-up isn't wrong, right? Then you know what to expect this coming season.

Mooi en vervloekt

This all looks a bit exciting and punky, and that's right, because the emphasis is on black. Black lips, black eyeliner: black is the thing. It's not very punky and exaggerated, because it can all be a bit loose and sketchy. It should mainly remain very chic, glamorous, and a tad dangerous.

Kracht van schoonheid

The perfect porcelain faces from last season make way for something less perfect. Still very beautiful, though, but the skin of the face should mainly be very real life. Individuality is therefore important. The brow can be a bit brushy are and the blush should mainly look very healthy. So no perfectly powdered skin, but everything can be very fluffy and fresh. Or as Elke called it; hyper femininity but niet overdreven.

Liefde gedragen

This is a bit of a combination of the previous two trends. You can completely shake off the perfection of this summer this autumn, because the looks can be a bit looser. This look tells us that it can all be quite exciting. A smokey eye where gray, black, and dark brown are making a comeback with a good liner and plenty of mascara. Well, everything is nicely blended and smudged, because perfect doesn't really belong here.

Rood 70’s

Red will always be the color for the lips this autumn as well. The shades of red remain in the brown/orange palette, causing the red colors to range from pale to burgundy. It's just what suits your face. You also don't see any hard lines on the lips, it's all a bit softer and smudged, as if you've had that color on for a few hours.
