This is how you get through the day without redness

– goodbye to the spots or the veins –

During job interviews, first dates or other exciting moments, red spots are definitely not desired and also very uncomfortable. We don't want that. But everyone occasionally gets an unexpected spot on the neck, an extremely red nose, or veins on the cheeks. This is how you solve it and get through the day without nerves (at least, it seems that way).

Seek cover

Red spots are of course very annoying, so find the right way to camouflage them. The easiest way is of course a foundation and then choose a compact foundation. They are the most covering and also contain extra camouflage and mattifying powder.

CC cream

The CC in CC cream stands for colour correcting. These creams contain colour-correcting ingredients that neutralize the skin's tone. If you have a dull complexion, it gives more glow, and if you have red spots, the cream corrects those as well. The CC cream adapts to the skin.

Green does good

The magical powder balls from Guerlain consist of different colors, including green. Smashbox also has a green primer. Why? Green is the counterpart of red, and thus you also remove the red from your skin.

Couperose

Redness is not only caused by nerves but also by the use of products. And then you also have couperose, where you have small red veins on the side of your nose, cheeks, forehead, or chin. Sometimes you have moments when that is very intense, and at other times not at all. So, no predicting it. In the short term, you choose the above helpers, but in the long term, it is tricky; I understand that it is extremely annoying. Always use gentle products without soap and also avoid alcohol-containing products. It is important to keep your care as mild as possible. Furthermore, you need to be careful with temperature changes, as they only exacerbate the redness.

Powder well

Even if you have been applying compact foundation generously, have dutifully used a green primer, and a concealer has also done its job; setting powder is a must. Then everything stays in place, and such a red spot has much less chance of peeking through.

The trick of the ice cube

A red, blotchy face? Then suck on an ice cube for a moment. In response to that cold in your mouth, a signal is sent via the nerves to the blood vessels in your face that tells them to constrict. Do it, because wide vessels cause red spots, and constricted vessels do not.
