“Single woman doesn't want sex on the first date” buys nu.nl today. “She prefers a good kiss as a conclusion to the first date and is happy to make a new appointment,” I read further. These statements are made following a study among 1108 single women, conducted by a webshop that specializes in men's fashion. But there were more remarkable outcomes.

“just a fun evening, we'll see what happens”

What I found most striking was that 48% of the women indicated they go on a date “a few times a year” to go on a date. A few times a year? I think that's really very little. Then 70% of the women indicates that when she goes on a date, she is looking for “just a fun evening, we'll see what happens,” but in the meantime, it turns out that 86% is not satisfied with her single status. That doesn't quite add up, does it? Then go on dates more often if you don't like it all that much. The date is preferably concluded with “a good kiss” (45%) or “a new appointment” (47%), they're not that interested in sex, 1% sees that as the ideal outcome of the evening. Furthermore, some meaningless clichés like that he should dress “casual and a bit cool, sneakers are fine” and that he should behave “just relaxed and himself.”.

All in all, the image I get of this woman is quite a boring chick who longs for male attention from an equally boring guy but doesn't want to put in too much effort herself.
