Workouts and a busy life
can go together
“I really have to start working out but I just don’t have the time.” Bullshit is the word that comes to mind. You can always make time it just depends on how important it is to you. Do you prefer to sleep in or go for dinner and wine with friends? It’s a free world but there is always time to go to the gym. Did you know you get even more stressed if you have a busy schedule and don’t work out? Training your body makes you feel good about yourself, therefore happy. So getting a workout done even if you have a very busy life (with no more than 24 hours in one day), I will tell you how.
set your alarm earlier
15 minutes, that’s all it takes; just move your alarm up by a quarter of an hour. That’s 15 minutes of your day. Download the 7-minute-workout app and make it a double. Do it two times, straight out of bed, then you hop into the shower, get dressed and off you go to work.
train in the morning
I would advise you to do a morning workout. You kick-off your day happy and full of energy. SO. If you’ve already crossed the line of setting your alarm earlier I understand that tucking in sooner is pushing it. But try going to sleep IMMEDIATELY, the moment your head hits the pillow. No phone, TV or iPad. Much too time consuming. Well rested you can set your alarm an hour earlier and go for a run; your gym is just out your front door.
plan short workouts
Don’t think you have to make long hauls when working out. If you’re busy plan half hour sessions. Do a run with in-between exercises and be back in 30 minutes.
make a planning
Make a planning. Work, workout and then friends. It might be a tight fit at times but it’s possible. The time you spent chilling on the sofa could have been a run. Don’t get me wrong; relaxing is important but my point is that you always have time to workout. If you want to that is.
take the stairs
Yep, always take the stairs instead of the elevator. And use a bike instead of taking the bus. But you already do that right?
