3X BRAZILIAN FOOD

For during the Games

Are you already going crazy from our Rio antics? Yes? Then you better read this fun post by Elke about Justin Bieber's penis. No, are you still not going crazy? Then stick around if you're interested in Brazilian treats. Wake up with an açai bowl (the açai berry comes from Brazil, yes yes), invite your friends over, dress in orange, turn the TV volume up loud, pour (okay, that's Italian, but still very orange) and unpack with bells and whistles. All for our Dutch players who need to be cheered on hard. And that together with a South American snack. Because with that orange tompouce, I'm a bit done now. An incredibly delicious, colorful, and superfood-rich breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if the Olympic players in Brazil also nibble on a spoonful of it. Then they'll go like a spear! Aperol Spritz you can read the recipe one more time.

Açai bowl

A small bun with delicious gooey melted cheese inside. Here 500 grams of tapioca flour (flour from the cassava root).

Pão de queijo

What is it?

200 grams of grated cheese.

What do you need?

half a coffee cup of salad oil
2 coffee cups of milk
2 eggs
a pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Put the tapioca flour in a mixing bowl. Put the 2 cups of milk and the half cup of salad oil in a pan and add a pinch of salt. Remove the pan with the milk and oil from the heat as soon as it boils and add everything, along with the eggs, to the tapioca flour. Mix everything into a dough and add the cheese when the dough is still warm. Knead the dough well and then make small balls from it. Bake them until golden brown in about 14 minutes.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Then add all the other ingredients. Stir continuously until the mixture starts to come away from the sides of the saucepan (the mixture becomes firmer).
